I'm calling the police.
Stranges are the lifeblood of TF2. Moreso than hats.
I agree, I'm more drawn to collecting strange weapons lately than I used to be to hats.
I agree, I'm more drawn to collecting strange weapons lately than I used to be to hats.
As a fellow strange collector, I can vouch for this. But I'm only drawn to regular stranges; kill streaks, botkillers and australiums aren't worth a dime to me oddly. Guess the effect outweighs the looks IMO
I find australiums obnoxious.
Botkillers are okay, and I guess it's always fun to ruin someone's killstreak, ey?
I play on DX8 so I cant even see any killstreak sheens and australiums look like chocolate to me :v:

oh yeah, I forgot to add that I have this script running to optimize my tf2 so I see no sheens or whatever and australiums are... silver?
No?

Pinion is an advertising company - their main site works.
The gaming one however (http://www.pog.gg/) doesn't work.
Oh cool, I found a NECA Red Heavy at a comic book store.
I hate to ask this again, but how durable is it?
Fairly durable. Wash it with warm water and soap to loosen the joints, though. NECA figures are notoriously stiff.
Heavy is my favorite out of the set, but Engie is really good too.

Why Scrap.tf is selling Pallets of crates for 11.77 Ref, when they are only worth 3ref or lower

We just got a new set of crates; pallets almost always drastically increase in price during this time. Looking around, there really aren't any active sellers for 3 ref; most are selling around 6-7 ref (both in classifieds and on the community market). Occasionally you'll find someone "selling for bp.tf prices", and those get snatched up really fast due to the increase in demand.
While I can say increasing the price to accommodate supply & demand is justified, 11 ref is pretty ridiculous.
Does anyone think they could teach me to rocket jump? I'm having some real trouble picking it up.

I mean like properly, I can pretty easily get on top of a tower but I can't do those crazy things that have you zooming around the map and surfing and stuff.
I only know how to rocket jump up and have no idea how people propel themselves forward

Don't hold w, and practice flicking your mouse down and back up as you near the ground, rather than looking down or straight the whole time.
The biggest bane people have is holding w, but if you can break the habit you'll usually find yourself seeming a bit more slippery when you land

This video helped me greatly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkqrRY4SZzY
At the end of the day however all I can tell you is to download some jump maps and practice because that's what it mostly comes down to, hours and hours of practice. Joining some easy level jump servers can help too depending on how helpful the people there are feeling.
TF2RJ has a map listing here and this thread breaks down which maps are considered what difficulty levels.

Using walls helps a lot, as in instead of shooting behind you, you shoot the wall next to you. Baring that the further you shoot behind you the less you go up, and the more you go forward.
Okay so I got my first laptop in 2008 and played TF2 for the first time during 2009. It didn't run very well, so I set everything to low and also followed a few extra tutorials. I was going through a very old photobucket account of mine and I'm glad I did because I found some screenshots of what it looked like:

I only just noticed the sheens on ks items get more frequent the higher your killstreak gets.

Pre-emptive price increase.

That's the oldschool pack though?
I'm thinking about leaving my current Pyro loadout (Degreaser + Axetinguisher + stock shotgun) in favor of a more ambush-oriented one. Any suggestion?
Currently I'm thinking of these weapons:
- Backburner (an obvious choice and allows me to pull of an airblast if I really need it)
- Powerjack (movement increase)
- I don't have any idea on the shotgun slot
Reserve Shooter for just a little bit faster weapon switching and power. I for one don't really notice much of a difference between the 4 clip ammo and 6, so I even use it on Soldier.

Try Detonator for a secondary, it helps you to get to places nobody would expect a Pyro to be in.

Powerjack is the best pyro melee.

After more than 1000 hours in Team Fortress 2, I only managed to learn how to rocket-jump up
I doubt I'll have more luck with the Pyro

crouch jump and shoot the ground, it's that easy

9/10 with Pyro you won't even realise you've been successful because of how minute the extra push is.
so I dont play tf2 that much anymore and I remembered that i have a pair of earbuds which are worth $30 on the marketplace. I have never used the steam marketplace for anything worth more than $0.50.
will earbuds go up in value in the future? can i earn more money by trading earbuds for other things and then sell those things instead?
how do i maximize profits?
Welp. just got my first australium in 90 tours.
The Blutsuager :v:
At least it's something though.

Well, Earbuds have a relatively constant money value. They spike but don't fall by much (seems to ride along around £22 - £25).
If you convert them for keys however, the price of keys to earbuds is falling because keys are rising in refined value and you'd have to paypal/market the keys off (and buds remain at a constant value).
Personally, I'd look at backpack.tf to gauge how many keys are currently going per bud and take the current market key price and multiply to find out how much you'd make. Compare that to the market price of buds and you'll find your most profitable source.
Just a final note: If you want a very quick sale (almost instantaneous), keys are the way to go. The moment you put it up for sale, it'll be sold. Can't really say the same for buds (it'll be a few minutes to an hour) but it's an easier sale (1 item Vs ~13 keys having to be sold).
