they'll do anything to defend their main
Why is it some people can't accept others can be better than them? I was playing cp_steel on a valve server and had around 170 points as spy and the top 2 players on the other team kept saying the only way a spy could do that good was if he was a hacker. They then said shit like "that was just luck you suck" whenever i killed them
People are insecure or children.

/r/tf2 is kind of bad and not really self-aware
I unsubscribed a couple of months ago when a transgender mod turned the subreddit into his blog making a sticky that said not to hate on trans people after making a "transgender tf2 group"
no it wasn't a joke

Devil's advocate here, facepunch tf2 community isn't the best thing ever either
but r/tf2 does get some really cool art stuff when it's not sfm screenshot #5 of today's 10

at least we're honest and self-aware instead of a delusional hugbox/circlejerk

I always thought the Medic tip that appeared on loading screens saying 'Fool the enemy by voicing your ubercharge is ready' was absurd.
Yes. Lets tell the immediate area to fuck you even harder. That sounds super practical, thanks for the advice

I think its because it was made to make the enemy team run away, because hearing that makes them think, "Oh, here comes an übercharge, better get out of here quick!" I've used it every once and a while. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Or its to make the enemy focus on you instead of your teammates, allowing your team to get some kills.

being self-aware and honest doesn't make a shit any less putrid, and
you mean this which is actually pretty cool?

A friend of mine was about to do this, too. He got everyone on the server to be friendly and gather on the centre point.
Someone was a preacher, gave a cool speech and...
"This item will be tradable in one week"
Honestly, why is that still a thing?

It's rather dependent on the situation. If you're far from the enemy base, chances are they'll rush you under the guise that "they'll be forced to pop uber early and won't be able to push with it"
At lower levels of competitive TF2 you can use the command to have your enemies prematurely back out of an area you're pushing into you can surprise them with an Ubercharge later than they were expecting
At higher levels it's mostly useless because the Medics will be keeping track of time anyway
Nobody pays attention to anything in pubs anyway though
There was a medic on my team the other day that was using the command in what I assume was an attempt to fool the enemy team, though all it did was kinda throw me off when he started healing me and I noticed he was only at ~60%.
Bought a S. Festive Minigun because I've been wanting to give Heavy some attention again since he used to be among my top three played class.
I forgot how amazing it can be when you're holding the last point on Payload and you're mowing down everyone that's trying to move it by a hair.
Heavy has some of the best "valiant last stand" moments in my experience. Especially if you're in a really defensible location like the very end of stage 1 of Pipeline on your side just mowing down entire hordes of the enemy team. Your medic gets stabbed but you whirl around and tear down the spy. A demoman lands a good hit on you with his pills before your pyro takes him down immediately before getting his head blown off. An engineer drops a mini sentry but it just becomes extra ammo for your minigun. A couple soldiers manage to get the jump on you and bring you down to 50 HP, but the medkit isn't recharged yet. Finally, you see a drawn huntsman sniper bound around the corner and you're sure this is it but right as you barely dodge the arrow your team finally manages to capture the cart.
Pretty much that happened last game I played and it was glorious.

Don't disguise as Medic often, but I bet it could be used as a pretty subtle cue that could get the team convinced that you're not a Spy, at least if their attention isn't on you.

I disguise as friendly medics in lobbies so the other team makes false callouts that our medic is down.
I tried to create a new bp icon for the new weapons, but I'm not seeing Quickiebomb in a place where it's supposed to be, any ideas?

Valve hates facepunch, just look at the RED Neon annihilator battery. You can read "def2fp", BLU neon version was supposed to be "props2fp" but they removed it. :<

That's pretty harsh, but the sentiment is pure and noble
