ToonHud is godlike. TF2Hud+ is very good too, but I have no idea if it has been updated.

I just went through the same thing, the previous suggestions are all good, but I went with FrankenHUD, it reminds me of PVHUD and Garm3nHUD (Both discontinued) so much, I miss PVHUD a lot, so FrankenHUD was a good replacement.

It really really puts me off competitive. I've done two seasons of UGC in HL but I honestly wanna participate in every season, win or lose, I just want to find a good team who doesn't rage about losing, who are friendly and who just purely enjoy the competitive scene.
I want a team that [I]does[/I] take it seriously by organizing scrims and what not, but won't blame and hate each other due to a loss. Basically a team with a good attitude. I don't know where to find one, or how.

Yeah, teams like that do exist. You may not find it as much in lower divs though. I got lucky, my first team is exactly what you described. I went five-six seasons with them. Enjoyed everyone's company, we practiced with scrims and whatnot.
Don't get discouraged, and while it sounds kinda underhanded, don't be afraid to swap midseason to a new team. If you see warning signs, heed them. Leave the team immediately.
If the leader is trying to pull bullshit like "pay me to be on the team"
If on a loss, people are all immediately leaving, or blaming each other and don't actually engage in a discussion of "what's wrong, what do we change?"
If the leader is filling positions with just "friends" (and not because they are "qualified" for that class) -- get the fuck out in all of these instances.

Supply is low and demand is high due to a crap-ton of people wanting to collect crates. The price can only rise, unless Valve just happens introduces a crate crafting system where you input X crates and get a random series number in return.
But this is the current TF2 team we're talking about, expecting them to introduce an entirely new facet to crafting would be an astronomically tall order.

I really don't like those people. I mean, I am 6s main myself, and I don't like HL as much as I used to (playing on flanks in HL is a nightmare and combo play is boring to me), but god damn every time I hear "hurr durr HL ezmode, 6s is way better I'M HARDCORE GUYS" or the sort I really want to tell them to fuck off with their shit. If they don't like HL, they could at least not make a scene out of it. Happens way too often whenever we try to make a mix with a large surplus of players and someone suggests an HL game instead.
I'm not kidding, people that adhere to that extreme do exist. And they're often obnoxious as hell.

Yeah, I see 6s for what it is. It's faster and more DM oriented. However, I personally prefer HL because of my philosophy that a competitive game should make use of all mechanics to their fullest. 6s doesn't make use of all classes--which is my personal turn off. Doesn't make it a bad gamemode though.
HL and 6s both have their places. A lot of the better players in 6s and HL mingle often and you'll see players on both. My HL team atm is like 70% 6s players.

Serious traders seems to care about the price of buds.
Almost all of the FP community thread just stopped doing serious trading. That's why the trading, unusual discussion, and outpost shitlist threads are for the most part dead. I got what I want so if the economy goes to hell I'm still lookin fine.

The only thing I miss is the Shitlist Thread, that was full of laughs.
I only care about the dropping price of buds because I can finally afford them, I always felt like I missed out during the event
for the most part, trading is extremely toxic so we're all better off it. even lenny spammers are more tolerable.
I would like to think The Market and TF2WH has made trading alot better in terms of not having to communicate with anyone.
But man, sometimes those prices are a bit jacked up

I've been ecstatic for the death of keys and trading. Finally it can be about something other than who has the most expensive hat.
Keys used to get you maybe 2-3 hats. Now they can get you like 8 regular 2.33 hats. Hats stayed same ref price but keys will always be $2.49. Its goddamn beautiful.
