I would like to think The Market and TF2WH has made trading alot better in terms of not having to communicate with anyone. But man, sometimes those prices are a bit jacked up
Some people don't know this, but WH is an actual company. So I guess it makes sense that the prices are jacked up.
There we go: [T]http://i.imgur.com/UeeQ4Sh.jpg[/T]
Thanks man. I'm at school right now, so you might have to wait a couple more hours for me to login to Steam. btw Is there a console command to remove the first person hands?
cl_drawviewmodel 0 i think EDIT: fuk
r_drawviewmodel 0 There is also an option in settings to remove the "first person hands".
So, does anybody care about the falling price of buds? At this time it's- Buy it for 7 keys 2.00 ref Sell it for 6 keys 3.00 re So, you disagree.. So you don't give a fuck? Fine
Unless unusuals are going to be converted into Keys or the value converted into buds (so they'll be worth more buds, but same price wise), this is going to make trading very interesting. I might be able to afford my favourite unusuals now!
10 bud unusual is 60 keys. hahahaha what the fuck is this Edit: Looks like i'ts time to get rid of this expensive unusual I got laying around
10 bud unusual is 60 keys. hahahaha what the fuck is this Edit: Looks like i'ts time to get rid of this expensive unusual I got laying around
For the record, anyone who cashes out right now is contributing to the crashing of buds [sp]so by all means, keep doing it - I have my popcorn ready[/sp]
So, i got a new GFX card and now Pyro Vision has a pink border. Was that there the whole time? Was it bugged for me before I switched to the new card?
Some people don't know this, but WH is an actual company. So I guess it makes sense that the prices are jacked up.
Of course it is, so is ScrapTF, so is Outpost, so is backpack.tf.
So, i got a new GFX card and now Pyro Vision has a pink border. Was that there the whole time? It's something called "animated border"). [editline]1st April 2015[/editline]
10 bud unusual is 60 keys. hahahaha what the fuck is this Edit: Looks like i'ts time to get rid of this expensive unusual I got laying around
On one hand, I can see why they're doing this (buds crashing). On the other - what's so hard about adjusting unusuals to match the new bud price? A 10 bud unusual would become 20 buds or something. It remains the same value, just the currencies got to be shifted around a bit. That and anything expensive is going to be a buttload of keys which will take up more space than the (old) bud equivalent. Sadly, no doubt a lot of traders will go down this method since buds are being cashed out quicker than ever before. This 'economy' is pretty interesting. It's had it's peak (Thanks to Long218 suggesting a new key price every day for 4 months) and is now falling. Wonder if it will pick up and buds will rise again (and keys fall). Has to happen sometime. *Edit* Some are taking it harder than others...
I heard Earbuds aren't considered currency anymore. What happened with that?
I heard Earbuds aren't considered currency anymore. What happened with that?
Simple. Buds are crashing, and because of that a lot of unusuals that had prices listed in buds crashed in value as a result despite they themselves not changing in supply or demand. Earbuds basically failed as a currency because of the prices dropping at a staggering rate for no apparent reason. Keys are much better in that regard because they keep a solid fixed real world price of somewhere between $1.80 and $2.49 USD depending on who's selling, but if they crash then god help us.
Because the fear is likely that the buds are going to crash so fast that they will be near worthless. Also don't forget that there is only a limited supply of buds so if they drop too low then it would be very hard for anyone to buy anything with buds. I doubt they will drop that much granted but who knows. As for cashing out it's a pretty standard reaction to inflation, all the wealth they had stored up to this point is suddenly becoming relatively worthless. They either cash out now and retain some of the value or keep it and have half the wealth they had a week before.

I had always hoped buds would stay fixed because it's fucking stupid dragging over each individual key one by one if you're dealing with some pricey items. Why is shift+click non-existent in trading windows?

The new grapple looks pretty cool [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/538519137264022198/8C6E7704A08663C961171492C319B2DBE21F8BCB/[/t]

I know I have it off(Even though I don't use pyrovision) simply because it's about the only thing that lags TF2 on this computer.

Everyone's gonna hate me for saying that, but it's so random to come up with it. I'm just used to the fact that TF2 usually gets new big things related to an update with a cinematic. This game mode seems like a pretty big thing that was just thrown at us.

It's kind of sad and funny at the same time. More sad than anything though.

I mean, sure lots of other game companies would have made a new one by now instead of support the existing game for so long, but in terms of business, all of the profits from tf2 don't come from the gameplay aspect. They don't really need to do anything at this point and they'll always be making money. Maybe throw in another community made hat with a couple of unusual effects to keep the market fresh, but that's it. The new-ish interview with gabe kinda shows that they are following more of a business model rather than a game developer, so this is kinda an effect of that it seems.

Ïn gameplay and balancing aspects, they didn't learn shit and the newest CSGO update proves that pretty well. They sure did learn how to earn the dosh and it's the only thing they care about now. Well, at least they aren't so blatant with it and don't enforce it in our face like some other companies.

I just hope that they can use some of that understanding with gamers to see what they are doing isn't really good and if they keep at it, their reputation is going to worsen over time.

They should know this. Keep people interested in the game itself and trading will continue. No one wants to spend money to unbox 100 crates to show off their newly unboxed unusual in an empty server.

They allow newer players to get quicker into the action, creating this outlook that it's a game with not much skill needed to be good at. Which of course isn't how this game should be played at all. It's a game that requires understanding of its mechanics, practice and teamwork. But your average gamer doesn't want to play a game to get stomped on by veterans. Hence why Mann Power. It takes all this game really is and throws it right out of window for shallow, easy-to-get, fast paced gameplay with not much of brain activity needed. And there are enough players who don't ask for more. And that's what is essentially keeping this game alive at this point. Fact that it's F2P and is opening more to anyone who happens to be around, while ditching everything's this game really is. In short; they are just doing their best to keep the wheel spinning and money rolling for as long as possible without really caring how to achieve that.
....Double click....
Right, let's double click for 50+ individual keys.
