Which is what I'm loving about this massive key drop. Refined is still what it's worth, so you can buy 1 or 2 keys from the store, wait a week, then cash out and buy yourself a nice haul of some decent tradable hats.

you need a coordinated team for wave 3. it's scrub filter for mannslaughter. a phlogistinator pyro who isn't braindead should be on the tanks, and a skilled sniper or demoman for dealing with the medics on the giant heavies

the enemy med fucked around and ran at our team with the overdose a couple times, and somehow I just got 3 more heals per minute than him and I was actually trying the whole time

Use the Backburner to start with. Practice both with airblasting, and with HELL YES BEST WEAPON FOR CRITS. Plus, even if you suck, you can airblast your teammates quicker than with the Manmelter, and that'll make them love you.

How the hell do you main scorch shot, do you just slowly plink people to death?
Other option is to keep them pushed back with airblast and scorch shot knock back, they don't resist 100% of fire damage. Alternatively, run to your team, Demoknights excel against lone targets but are super vulnerable against groups.

When I say "main scorch shot", I mean I use it instead of any other secondary. That doesn't mean I only use the scorch shot for killing things :v: in which case by that logic I main flamethrower

After coming back to TF2 for a while I still feel completely lost. Dozens and dozens of new items I see everywhere make me wonder what the hell I'm doing. I gave away 40 hats, a few earbuds, and most of my weapons before I quit, so I started from scratch this time. It feels like I'm at a bit of a disadvantage. :v:

I don't know about the whole group of flare guns weapon because I decided to focus entirely on short to mid range (I carry a reserve shooter to deal with other pyros and some soldiers too much clever for their own good)

I actually try to use the detonator when I play pyro quite a bit. Partly because I want to try and use more skilful play and partly because I uncrated a strange a year ago and you gotta level up those stranges right?
Its pretty tricky trying to time the explosion right. There seems be like a half second delay before hitting the button and the projectile exploding. I also sometimes start acting like it's a sticky launcher. Like I get too into exploding and try to firework people up when it would likely be more economical to just try and hit them directly. :v:
