Pyro and Heavy use the first person world model the best imo.
I noticed that the wire on sniper's rifle blocks the crosshair when you use the scope while in that mode [editline]20th January 2015[/editline] come to think of it maybe I was just standing in a weird spot
My biggest qualms about using world models mainly resides in playing spy. no poised backstab animation, and you can't tell whether you have your DR out or not.
Yo guys, I recently have a lot of fps dropping. I installed a no-hat mod, I use a gamebooster (no idea if it works), I have a max frames script installed and I run no background applications (I sometimes even turn off my anti-virus). However, I still drop to 10 fps easily if it's a bit crowded. I should also confess that I only play tf2 on normal servers with 24 people at max (valve servers...). Does anyone have any tips or suggestions or advice on what I could use to improve my fps? I used to be able to run tf2 with reasonable fps at medium settings, now everything looks like shit.
I wonder how many inconsistencies that movie is going to have, like the engineer building multiple dispensers, soldier firing 5-6 rockets without reloading, spy backstabbing while cloaked, etc.
So, PS3 TF2 then (most of the glitches mentioned where patched in the Xbox version but since EA published the Orange Box on the PS3 and were *meant* to handle updates, it's a rotting mess as they never updated it past the third update on the Xbox).
My biggest qualms about using world models mainly resides in playing spy. no poised backstab animation, and you can't tell whether you have your DR out or not.
i found a lovely mod from someone on GB that makes the DR click when you activate it. It makes using the DR with world models so much easier.
If being cool is an advantage, yes.
You know it bb. This worldview mode is meant to be used with the Oculus Rift, in which I own / dev for which is why I leave it on. That and feets! It doesn't really provide an advantage per say, if anything my unusuals render for me when I look up which gets annoying.

I am the only one who feels dirty when using the reserve shooter as a Pyro? There is something in that weapon on that class, as a Soldier I don't mind that much, with Pyro on the other hand. Is unfun to play against. Speaking of Pyro, the Backburner seems better and it rewards a good map knowledge and positioning. It feels less "cheap" and harder to use properly.
It's because the Degreaser makes it VERY easy to use compared to what it should be. Also it's a lot easier to get people in the air with an airblast than a rocket.
Reserve shooter is absolutely amazing on soldier, I use it with stock rocket launcher and disciplinary action. Scout jumping around annoying the shit out of you? Pull out that shotgun, make the sweet easy airshot and dance on their corpse. Trolldier jumping at you? Same thing, except he's moving in a straight line for you. Bonus points if he's using the BASE Jumper.
I am the only one who feels dirty when using the reserve shooter as a Pyro?
anyone who uses degreaser + reserve shooter is bad and they should feel bad
anyone who uses degreaser + reserve shooter is bad and they should feel bad
Me and my friends "affectionately" called the reserve shooter as The reserve shitter :v:
That's the problem. The degreaser and reserve shooter make Pyro a new something, he becomes pretty good against most classes, Demoman with targe are force to run away or land some good pipes. Other Pyros are done if they do not have shotgun or best them with fire/secondary, etc. Close combat, he becomes really good at it and he does not have to rely on ambushes or surprise attacks, he can run most of the time from one side of your view but it is too late, the combo was set and you are severely damaged or dead.
So a fella on AlliedMods by the name of rowedahelicon just posted on a thread I made where I had released a half-working plugin that introduces the use of the unused burning death animations. He fixed it all up and got it working beautifully!
now i see why they never shipped them.
Some of them are pretty good (like heavy and soldier), but a lot of them you really can't tell if they're dead because they're hopping around or just standing there.
Hey, I figured I'd try posting here before making some thread about it. Is anyone here interested in starting up a UGC highlander Iron team with me? I figured it'd be more enjoyable to have a team at least partially comprised of Facepunchers rather than totally random guys from the UGC forums. I really don't care about how many hours you have as long as you're willing to learn and already have an understanding of the class you'd like to main. Skype would be nice as I currently have no way of affording a Mumble server. I would like to main the Heavy. I have no comp experience outside of lobbies myself, so we'd be learning together. If you're interested, reply, add me, or PM me.
Some of them are pretty good (like heavy and soldier), but a lot of them you really can't tell if they're dead because they're hopping around or just standing there.
they could work if they lasted one or two seconds max.
Already posted this in the Valve / Steam / Steam Machines GD thread, figured I'd link to it here. I've discovered who released the first "big" phishing bot program. The first EVER program was released by this russian forum, but the first "big" one that gained widespread use was created by a fellow named Lapanthere. Click here to read more. Feel free to personally thank the motherfucker for releasing cancer upon Steam and profiting from it (he sells the program).
I think Lapanthere just became the most hated person on steam as of today.
I think Lapanthere just became the most hated person on steam as of today.
And he's been reported on SteamRep by me. http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561198043077632-none-no-items.89733/ If anyone is doubting that Lapanthere is behind it, you may want to click here and watch the video in the post.
I've got a bunch of extra cosmetics from winter and EotL crates, so time for a raffle http://tf2r.com/k0s8pa0.html
Some of them are pretty good (like heavy and soldier), but a lot of them you really can't tell if they're dead because they're hopping around or just standing there.
"Too confusing for new players" springs to mind. Seems like a waste of animations. They could have made it a random chance animation like the Spycrab.
anyone who uses degreaser + reserve shooter is bad and they should feel bad
Everytime I go on decent servers (I mean with at least 4-5 players with a bit of skill) with pyro, I always go full killstreaked Degreaser/Reserve Shooter/Powerjack (which are my only Pyro killstreaked weapons BTW). I'm aware it's an OP loadout, it's incredibly efficient on ambushes, 1 vs 1, and why not facing big groups of enemies thanks to ultra fast switching between powerjack healing/RS combos/airblasting, at least when you master everything about it. But it's certainly not the most unfun to play against. Not to mention that all the enemies pyros I encountered who were using this exact same loadout were almost never an actual threat, even when I'm not playing pyro myself, because they don't master their timing, their moves, and there's almost always a strategy (and a bit of luck?) to survive the encounter. To answer your question, no, I don't feel bad.

I'm not even logged in yet I'm banned because I'm on my phone, and dynamic IPs aren't possible I guess. Wasn't TF2R supposed to be replaced by some newer site a while ago?
It's really weird to hear SFX that are in TF2 from other sources. I'm watching Cowboy Bebop and it's already happened two or three times, I wonder where they get them from

I've even heard the Medigun/Dispenser sounds quite a few times in other media. Let's play "Spot the Horseman's Headtaker sound!".
