you can't open it directly in the menu
[editline]4th May 2015[/editline]
you have to join a game first (or launch a map, same thing)

I just like having the console open at all times since I use it a lot.

Why is there no Australium Shotgun?? There's an Aussie Frontier Justice, but no shotgun. Why?
shotgun is multi-class
shotgun is multi-class
There's a Festive Frontier Justice and a Festive Shotgun, though.
And also, aparently someone sold his selfmade duck coin on the steam market for $100~
If I was on the EOTL team, I would sell it too. They didn't have anything to do with the stupid "bonus ducks" event.
Question: is manual reloading faster than autoreload? I've heard people say both.
Question: is manual reloading faster than autoreload? I've heard people say both.
Autoreload is always "faster" because you don't have to mash the Reload button.
What's with the -console launch option? The in-game console can be enabled in the keyboard settings (press the advanced button below the key mappings).
I've heard the game loads better when the console is the first thing to be loaded. Don't know if it's true but that's what I've seen from config generators.
Question: is manual reloading faster than autoreload? I've heard people say both.
Only on weapons where it reloads the entire clip at once rather than one at a time. This is actually why Soda Popper is a ban consideration in Highlander: if you simply have +reload active all the time, reloading starts instantly after the clip empties rather than when the firing animation ends (which is what auto reload does). This means that you can effectively have a reload time of 2 seconds.

There is a slight difference between +reload and cl_autoreload 1 that affects the timing for a couple weapons.
I remember sending a ticket to the steam support about Malwarebytes reporting malicious websites coming from hl2.exe and steam.exe (hl2 was in a saxton server so I think it's related to ads) then proceeds to block IP's from countries. I tried reading the database to find something, anything related to this problem but to no avail. Has anyone experienced this issue? I am ready to send a MSINFO32 report but I don't know, I think I am doing something wrong here, maybe malwarebytes it's too cautious?
Question, do you get prizes from playing Competitive TF2?
Through in game matchmaking, nobody knows for sure yet.
Through the UGC league, yes, you get medals depending on your division, format and placement in the division. They're distributed erratically though - if you remember, the medals added recently were supposed to arrive more than half a year ago.
I'm kinda more talking like cash prizes :v:
For some reason TF2 downloaded 1,006.6 KB over night, is this normal?

But spy revolvers shouldn't always auto reload, since you would often want to reload.when you are disguised and make your disguise character reload. Who would suspect a backpedaling jumping reloading demoman?

Malwarebytes using heuristics to look for dodgy files (in other words - it looks for patterns shown in viruses like forcing open ports without user consent etc).
It's a false positive.
Just a little update on the personal TF2 project I posted here about about a week or so ago
I'm still steadily working on it, already on roughly 3-4 pages, I'm thinking this may be a multi part video unless you guys are willing to sit through an easily 30-40+ minute long TF2 history video.
History in the sense of TF2 over the years and all the fun/cool/interesting things that have happened, it won't be a long, boring video that just goes over every update in the most basic fashion (major updates will be talked about but I won't go into INCREDIBLE detail)
I want you to watch it and be like, "Oh wow man holy shit I remember that haha!" or "Hmm, I actually didn't know that/ wow I don't even remember this but now I know"
Also comes the issue of the voiceover, I have a bit of a lisp so I definitely can't provide a voiceover, so I'll probably have to find someone from FacePunch who'd be willing to lend their voice for the video.
I'm kinda more talking like cash prizes :v:
ESEA used to do a LAN for the highest level of play in the game (Froyotech, Street Hoops, Mad Men...) but they recently canceled it because of Valve matchmaking
Unless Valve decides to host TF2 LANs(!!!) I don't think there'll be a huge scene for that in TF2 anymore outside of the Insomnia series
Question, do you get prizes from playing Competitive TF2?
You get to wear a fancy hat.
But not just any fancy hat, a slightly glowing fancy tophat that you can wear for only one day.
That's one day, that's more than zero days.

you probably don't need to worry about that as much as you think
Question, do you get prizes from playing Competitive TF2?
Every big big competition provides medals for participating, at the very least.
There are item prizes for every Tier (Division) on ETF2L. On Premier Division, you can get cash and real world items like peripherals for your computer.
You also get fancy medals on the lower divs of UGC and I think you get cash prizes on Platinum.
Not sure about ESEA.

Despite having no lan ESEA still offers a significant prize pot which means that players will actually be making more money now online as they don't have to fly out.

Why does this happen?
