Anyone else having trouble connecting to valve servers? It says "server is not responding" and doesn't show players or anything.
Also reached 1k hours in tf2 so that's cool.

For the last week or so, yeah. I have to wait like 5mins after launching tf2 to even see the servers

Had it happen to me the other day. The problem corrected itself after about 5 minutes.

In my case it's the Virginia servers.
I found somewhere that you have to stop the refresh, close the server browser, open it back up and refresh. It fixes it for me.
Hey guys whenever i try to play tf2 i get this message "an issue with your computer is blocking the vac system. you cannot play on secure servers" anybody got a fix?

Just put -secure in your launch options.
Managed to get a Blu soldier figure at ACEN for about $10 less than it is on Amazon. Now I just need Demo and Engie and I'll have all my main classes.
At best, he could actually follow Metaru's advice and do a public apology, explain why he was overly upset, and promise to change his negative outlook on life before it fully consumes him.
I don't want to further this discussion because the situation has been handled, but this response has pissed me off for several reasons:
1. Public apology? Nooooo. I did a public apology when I came back here and I've had that shoved in my face numerous times whenever I tried to stand up for myself here. "Don't start drama 404, remember you promised to change your posting habits", etc. Yeah, I totally love having that shoved in my face.
2. Overly upset? He has every right to be upset when people are fucking with his families business. Obviously, none of what Lobo has said about what's going on IRL has been confirmed, but I for one believe that he's speaking the truth.
3. Promise to change his negative outlook on life? You can't be fucking serious. I have a negative outlook on life, and for good reason. He has a good reason to have a negative outlook as well. If I was Lobo and someone told me I should think about promising to change my "negative outlook on life", I'd tell that person to fuck right off.
I feel for Lobo. What he's dealing with is rough. Yeah, the main topic of rant (MvM) was a tad silly but everything else was valid. I applaud him for telling someone off as well. Honestly, people here can be dicks.
But hey, since this is Facepunch, let's go back to making fun of the guy and calling him childish and suggesting he should promise to change an aspect of his personality that is incredibly hard for a person to change.
Lobo, if you're reading this (somehow), and you need someone to talk to, I'm here for ya buddy.

Oh my fuck Ofcourse you're the one to stand up for him captain shit-stirer. You both don't know how to handle speaking on fourms so you're both suffering from the same problem of not thinking before you say/do something. You think because you have an excuse, such as 'oh they were playing really bad' or in your case 'I have depression', that people are going to just excuse you when you say something out of line/stupid/take something over the top. Don't go listing off your reasons, regardless if they are a serious problem or not, because you're not explaining yourself to a group of people. You're explaining yourself to a forum. Specifically a videogame thread centred around speaking about videogames. When you begin turning your discussion into something that isn't that, that goes way above in terms of relevancy, people don't want to hear it. You can take offence to that, and you can call everyone assholes for not trying to understand your reasons and point of view, but the fact of the matter is, we just want to talk about team fortress 2. We don't want drama based on other things, peoples lives, or arguments. If you don't understand or agree with that, then you have no reason to be here frankly.
I can't speak for anyone else, but whenever I see this off-topic shit I just get so fed up. It's like watching a kid cry over a broken Lego building, an then write a 20 page essay on why he cares so much. The reasoning may make sense, but no one wants to hear it, because they just want to build their fuckin Lego car and have fun.

Get this soap opera out of my sight.

All I'm going to say is that I do know how to speak on forums (and spell correctly, to boot!), I'm not going to stoop to your level by calling you names, and you are a prime example of what is wrong with kids these days.
At least Jetamo had enough common sense to send a private message to me instead of trying to fucking show off and look cool in front of everyone else like you've done with your fancy fucking post that starts off by referring to me as "Captain Shit Stirrer" (and you spelled "stirrer" wrong there, kiddo).
As well, the last post before my post up there was made an hour ago. The thread had been dead for an hour, so my post didn't disrupt a god damn thing, plus I'd been at work all fucking day and just noticed the Lobo situation when I got home from work and checked up on things. Excuse me for trying to be a good fucking person.
But hey, you have yourself a nice night there, sport. I've got shit to do tomorrow and don't have time to try to teach people the value of having compassion for other people.
...And thanks for dropping me in it. Why do I bother? I mean, I send you a private message with the explicit intention of not shitting up the thread, of not taking the bait, yet you decide to namedrop me as having sent you a PM. I should just keep my fuckin' nose out of shit.
Dude, I deleted tf2 after 2-3 years, my hard drive feels ligther and holy moley I can study properly now.
Aaaand I didn't saved my configs nor my screenshots.
Dangit

Then don't.
So apparently the normal Wrench builds a lvl 3 faster than a Jag?

puppet bots aren't reliable as far as I know. the mimic doesn't always have pinpoint accuracy
Whatever the case, it's obvious that the difference is so small it's not worth it.
One second isn't viable at all, not even in heat of battle, never. If you deploy your sentry in the heat of battle and deploying it one second later would mean losing it, it means you're terrible at engineer and deserve to lose the sentry.
aka: the jag is useless, and its more of a placebo than anything.
That's when you start using the Southern Hospitality to have wrench + bleeding , and develop a fear to Pyros.
It's actually pretty good.
Wow, to think the last Engineer melee was the Eureka Effect in 2011.
How I miss the updates that had this in the changelog:
The X's painting texture was improved.
How I miss the updates.
amusing fact
a regular warrior spirit hit does more than a sun-stick crit
Mhm, lately I have been playing BASE Jumper + Quickielauncher + Skullcutter Demo and I gotta say the loadout is working pretty well, you can be defensive and offensive with it and krit-meds will adore you so badly.
Sun on a stick is such a joke.

how about DPS instead of DPH? all of scout's meelees deal less DPH but hit faster.

I wouldn't say that when you are using the Jag to rebuild the sentry once you put it back after hauling, it's at the same speed as deploying minisentry, with level 2 sentry case. It's a death against enemies.
Seriously, i totally love the Level 2 sentry when I use Jag, Wrangler and Rescue Ranger with it. It makes up for being a great support weapon.
