[t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/695028102030562190/28A4B2C935240178ACF7524316705B57433F7E5D/[/t] Remember when this bug was a thing?
You mean the bug where Scout wears an item that doesn't even exist in game? No, sorry, don't recall that one. I do recall the bug where sometimes one class would be shown with items from another one, but that particular bug doesn't seem to be what's going on in that screenshot, since the Glengarry Bonnet in that shot seems to have been remodeled to fit scout's head and been properly aligned, and probably is a mod just like the bag of dynamite and the UI changes.

Assuming both their bip_head bones are positioned similarly within the head and both their heads are relatively the same shape? Or in this case demo has a bigger head than scout so from a forward angle it looks like it fits on him
Of course I understand that. I'm simply convinced that's not the case. It's not just because the size and positioning are simply too exacting. When you also consider the modded in vest, which also is sized and positioned strangely perfectly, then things start to get hard to believe, because I very highly doubt Demo's bulky and blocky vest would ever line up with Scout's chest shape that well just randomly. There are only two possibilities - either someone purposefully arranged the items the way they are and thus this isn't a bug but the product of modding; or an incredibly unlikely coincidence occured. But even if the latter is true, that just means the screenshot does a terrible job of demonstrating the bug it was chosen to represent. If you're actually trying to show off a real bug, why would you use a screenshot which looks like everything was modded into place, and confuses the issue?

Can ragdoll physics allow fingers to move independently?
Can ragdoll physics allow fingers to move independently?
That would be a funny mod; one that makes ragdolls give the finger. imagine a whole hallway of dead enemies giving the finger
Of course I understand that. I'm simply convinced that's not the case.
i went ahead and stuck it on scout in itemtest [t]http://i.imgur.com/Wy1dvew.png[/t] as you can see, it fits perfectly, aside from it not removing scout's preexisting hat which is just a bug with itemtest and as for the vest and such, it's hard to tell whether or not they're actually fitting onto the scout's body due to the perspective
But even if the latter is true, that just means the screenshot does a terrible job of demonstrating the bug it was chosen to represent. You just proved the screenshot isn't genuine - if it was, his regular hat would be visible clipping through. Thanks for settling the discussion for me. Oh and by the way, just because someone says something doesn't make it true. Didn't you learn that it kindergarten? People lie sometimes, either on purpose or accidentally because they're misinformed or confused. He could easily have created a fake image, or found someone else's image on the internet and used it to illustrate what he thought it depicted but didn't.
what the hell are you even on about the guy originally just said "hey remember this bug" and it wasn't literally that same bug but a very similar one (or a server mod, or whatever, who cares), it was completely obvious what he meant and you went on to make some pedantic rant about it please stop

Alternatively, the bug that switches class cosmetics is different from the command to add items to the class. stuff: [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/269465369198797659/D10F8281083BF1AE8439944E4C782024F852CF7C/[/T] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/269465369198801235/1E54ADAF8B9CC226FBF787F4A75C089258DB77F1/[/t] (the fact that these are the same guy was completely unintentional) [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/277344099166979932/AA22FA5CB1C9B0C3AD19D2C77C3FBB6257024B67/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/277343345097330636/CFD1ED3EB178C8F59B95F087B5B6C88B32A578C4/[/t] and heres some chat filter tomfoolery: [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/269465369198800847/7F46FD5587A4844038CE2D5383B08FF43F3CA8BB/[/T] [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/269465369198801079/458E2287EBA27C96A64C00B4D3A2FD0E21CEC045/[/T]

They attach to the models "bones". As a simplified explanation, bones are special markers in a model that can be used to give certain areas names, like "upper right torso" or "head" or "arm". This allows them to not only put things at a specific position relative to each model regardless of size or shape, but with certain implementations allows them to scale the extra model if the player is bigger or smaller than the original model estimates.
