I was thinking the Black Box would do more damage against buildings, but only carry one rocket and reload slower. The Battalion's Backup might decrease friendly respawn time, which would be interesting.

I'm thinking the Darwin's Danger Shield will be like the Razorback except.
- It only [i]reduces[/i] damage done from backstabs... by alot.
- Has no shock effect on the spy.
- Doesn't break after being used.
How about for the Holy Mackerel, you just give it a variable swing speed.
Could be faster, could be slower. Both the positive/negative right there. Goes with the whole fish thing.
Alt-fire could be a slower (like 2.5x) swing, but assured crit(or mini-crit). You could even sneak in a hilarious animation for that as well.

I like the Eternal Reward idea of having to charge your backstab, and then instantly taking on your victims disguise. It doesn't alter the spies gameplay drastically, just gives it an interesting twist.
Ideas like that are good, I don't like weapons that are just things like -25% of X for +25% of Y, I think those ideas are just boring even if they are balanced.
I just thought of this idea so feel free to shoot it down straight away, but would it be OP (more like underpowered probably) if the Battalions Backup respawned everyone on your team? It would be fairly useless in offence, because respawn times are fast, but it might give the soldier and interesting defensive ability. Its probably too situational but I think it fits with the name of the weapon and is a bit more interesting than just fiddling with the Buff Banners stats.

Backstabs will not remove your disguise and instead causing the usual damage, it'll inflict the regular facestab damage and something i call, doom.
When someone is doomed, he will die once you cloak or die.
Why use it over a regular knife? When you backstab someone with a regular knife, he is simply dead and your disguise disappears. When the doom effect is involved, you can backstab the engi first or something and he'll only feel a measly facestab, and your disguise won't go off, then you can sap the sentry and when he notices you, cloak and he'll be dead.
You can also use it against a group, like backstab a medic and heavy pair and see to that they both die without having to struggle much to do it.
It already feels balanced.

Sounds OP to me, but very fun. Itwould need a minor drawback I think.
Also, it would be cool if the bushwacka (sniper melee) could be thrown. It would sort of defeat the purpose of a melée weapon though.

It would be good for the sniper though, because if you're using one of the SMG replacements you don't have a ranged backup weapon.

I think it is its own drawback, since the backstab doesn't immediately come in affect and people will notice you stabbed them, in the back, even in a disguise, they'll try to kill you, making it a win-lose weapon.
I think the Eternal Reward should be unique, interesting. The description on the whole "Eternal Rewards" after death and an everlasting torture for those who murder earlier in the thread makes me think maybe the knife would be a bit OP, but would have positive effects for those who get backstabbed by it and negative effects to the Spy who stabs.
A mechanic such as, when the Spy backstabs an enemy they don't lose their disguise, or maybe they get 50% cloak from the stab, some very positive effect to use the knife that would almost make it a clear upgrade, but the negative effect would be for each kill you get, the next time you spawn your max health goes down by 10 for that life, or your cloak meter only holds 90% of what it used to, something similar to that, something negative that could be stacked for the players next life. And the person who gets stabbed would spawn the next time with a 25% overheal that wouldn't degrade with time. Good idea?
