Indeed, the spy is french... not from the middle east. Or whatever the Fez is from. I really...... um dislike the spy pack. I know, it's hard to make those stuff. I could never code anything. But I really dislike the spy pack.
It fits because the fez is a traditional morrocan hat, and Morroco was one of the french dominion until the late 50's. Try to do a little research people!
Really? o_o Sorry, excuse me, I didn't know that. But still, I don't like it. And I think many people people agree.
I like it it makes me look classy
Really? o_o Sorry, excuse me, I didn't know that. But still, I don't like it. And I think many people people agree.
I actually like the hat, but the glasses kills it. I can't wait for the version without glasses.
I wish that they would choose a Heavy pack instead of a sniper one. Even better, choose one for all of the classes.
Battletoads was better. Seriously, why did they ever make that sequel?!
I didn't know it had a sequel, maybe I should call Gamestop to see if it's still in stock. [editline]10:49AM[/editline]
I think they only accepted packs for classes with shit unlockables
Well I disagree. While I for example hate the fez and glasses, I will admit that ChemicalAlia's pack was one of the packs with the most outstanding quality on the weapons.
I believe that the reason Battle Worn didn't make it is because of the fact that the Heavy can't actually eat his Sandvich through the mask. I can't believe this didn't occur to anyone during its creation.
1) it does flip open. 2) it was the first thing that came to mind when we thought of it. and if anyone's wondering, I wish they chose buck's battleworn items for some odd reason.
and if anyone's wondering, I wish they chose buck's battleworn items for some odd reason.
I would hate it. I do not want a hat that covers one of the most iconic faces in TF2, and all the gritty textures doesn't fit the art style well at all.
I actually like the hat, but the glasses kills it. I can't wait for the version with glasses.
You can't wait for something you hate? :downs:
Would've loved Outback Hunter.
I thought the soldier one with the AK was pretty cool, but I don't think it would work as a soldier weapon.
You can't wait for something you hate? :downs:
Well piss!
I thought the fez was hilarious and I can't wait to wear it. If I ever get it. I thought the pyro and soldier packs were pretty bland.
I was disappoint to find out the suburban scout did not win. :|
Well, isn't valve gonna add more Polycount packs. They said they would.
Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I think every single Valve-quality item made for this contest will be accepted as official eventually.
Well, isn't valve gonna add more Polycount packs. They said they would.
Yeah, I think this thread is basically a "post what you hope gets picked as the secret entry" thread in disguise :v:
You know, I just realized that even though Valve said 20 new items were coming, the plycount winners they've announced already have 17 items. The secret winner is one of the packs with only 3 items. One of swizzle's?
I would hate it. I do not want a hat that covers one of the most iconic faces in TF2, and all the gritty textures doesn't fit the art style well at all.
Maybe not this cartoony, clowny TF2 we know today, but it fits well in the reaches of the original art style, just a little darker and gritter than the average texture, but that is an identifying factor of the items. You know what pack really doesn't fit? The Special Delivery pack. Sure, the Scout probably has a job outside of baseball and being a mercenary, but really, bringing a fish and milk to the battlefield? Valve pushed it a bit with the Sandvich and Bonk Energy Drink, Milk goes a bit overboard.

Gritty textures would NOT look good in TF2. I don't think it fit the original theme, and I don't think it fits the current theme. It would be worse than the Scout pack.
They really aren't that gritty. The shotgun looks like the other in-game weapons, the Minigun is probably the only thing I can say looks gritty and that simply gives the weapon a better identification. The mask fits well in the game overall, and it doesn't cover his face unless he's revved up.
I didn't really like any of the packs that won. The tankbusters pack was alright, and 2 of the new sniper items were great. Other then that i didn't like any of the other winners. A fish for the scout? How does that fit his theme? The Bonk pack would have been better.
They really aren't that gritty. The Minigun is gritty, the shotgun is gritty, and the helmet is gritty and ugly. I hope OpethRockrr55 or EzMeow's packs gets chosen for Heavy.
The battle worn for the heavy http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73118
That was a fucking amazing pack, i was genuinely shocked when i didnt see it on the TF2 page
I think all 3 items looks gritty. The Minigun is gritty, the shotgun is gritty, and the helmet is gritty and ugly.
Are you honestly telling you would rather have a fish and milk than three well designed items with some gritty textures?
When the Fish and Milk looks better, yes. They aren't well designed if they don't fit the TF2 theme. Also, it lacks TF2's comical feel and the helmet is absolutely terrible. Spetch's pack is well modeled and well textured, the only thing I think he does bad is consistency with his items. The Battle worn items have good models, but bad textures, and a boring theme not fitting Heavy very well. [editline]06:06PM[/editline] So yes, I'd rather have the "Special Delivery" than the "Battle Worn Items".
The fish and milk are great. And I want Cooking Papa to be chosen, it's hilarious and looks good. I think Battle Worn is alright but a little bland.
And I want Cooking Papa to be chosen, it's hilarious and looks good.
1xAgree
Really, I wanted Suburban Scout to win. Hitting people with a newspaper wearing the Ye Olde Baker Boy would've been so awesome. The Scattergun made from bike parts was a pretty cool and original idea too, not to mention it looked pretty sweet.
Current scout winner is absolutely terrible. I really wanted the Bonk! pack to win or the Suburban pack to win.
