The name of the item is referring to Led Zeppelin, so leaving out the "a" wouldn't be too unheard of, even without trying to be ironic. Really, doing that would just be to further the reference.

To be perfectly fair, I wouldn't have known it was a pony reference until you explicitly gave it the backstory. Just would've thought it was a little odd naming choice.
