Oh trust me, that's not the only thing wrong with Dashcon. I don't know how much of this Facepunch already knows (is there a thread?) but...
• They had a BDSM panel. At one point they had to have a demonstration. And apparently at another point they got everyone to start masturbating at the same time. There was a post circulating at one point urging all participants to go to their doctors because some were reporting odd rashes and things.
• Someone managed to get a hold of the organizers' Tumblr accounts and convince everyone that they needed $17k donated to stay in the hotel. The $17k was raised (and nobody knows where the fuck it is now), and shortly after all attendees were singing songs at the employees at the lobby in "protest" so they could stay.
• Because of this and general incompetence by the organizers, the guys behind Welcome To Night Vale had to cancel their appearance because they weren't gonna get paid. This is the event that caused the promises of an extra hour in the ball pit. (I'm certain you've all seen pictures of [url=http://cdn0.dailydot.com/cache/e8/d9/e8d9c465a5006e0b426ea98e25068dc6.jpg]this sad fucking thing[/url]) Which may even lead to a lawsuit since beforehand they didn't actually give a damn about the ball pit and it was free entry.
• Speaking of the ball pit, someone (4chan blames /pol/ for some reason) took a piss in the ball pit when nobody was looking. And later on, a post circulated on my dash that said some other couple was actually having sex in the thing. I'm not entirely sure which event came first.
• It costs $65 to get a full weekend badge...
• ...but there's absolutely no con security so even if you're a minor who didn't pay shit you can walk into an 18+ panel and stay there the whole damn time. Combine that with the events of the BDSM panel (which a 16 year old has fully admitted to being able to enter).
• The "game room" is just one console hooked up to a single TV, and I think a couple of card tables.
• They've been showing things like Pacific Rim, Dr. Horrible and others without bothering to get the license rights for it. As of right now, Guillermo del Toro has been notified about Pacific Rim, and it's unclear whether or not he's going to do anything about it (I don't know shit about how del Toro operates, I have no predictions on whether he'll give a shit).
• The vendors have left the convention entirely now because they weren't selling shit.
