Steamrep in the first place doesn't make sense. I don't want to have to refer to another website for things like trading, and I shouldn't have to. Where do they get their credibility? They're not official or anything, but everyone likes to hold it up as the basis for trading.

because there [I]isn't[/I] an official reputation documenting website. same reason people use backpack.tf prices, there is no [I]official [/I]value in metal.
I don't want to stray off-topic, but the difference is Steamrep is about proving people's reputation, which I don't think is reliable and shouldn't be relied on.

It's just a problem in general with a lot of community websites, it's just that the issue is that SteamRep is such a big thing now that you can't really have any (good) alternatives.

My shotgun's called "Lead Mouthwash", name taken from a suggestion in a thread some time ago. I wish prefixes could stay on changed names, because then I'd get a strange shotgun, name it Lead Mouthwash and keep the prefix. Hale's own Lead Mouthwash.
