Should I name my gunslinger "Hypocritical Oath"? It's a reference to the achievement with the same name (because I often heal a disguised enemy spy with my dispenser shortly before killing them) and because I love the gunslinger when I use it but I hate the gunslinger when someone else uses it.

I know, but the achievement is to heal an enemy spy and then kill him shortly after. Even though it's a medic achievement, I often heal an enemy spy as an engineer shortly before killing him. Also, it's because everyone has an extremely hypocritical relationship with the gunslinger.

That's a very vague question. The only sort of theme to go with is that it's strange and that it's a flamethrower. Any witty names would need to be pulled out of our collective asses and typically the witty ones will get driven into the ground rather quickly.
If you have some sort of theming going on, a name can be tailored to fit into such a theme. With such a broad scope as "any," it's kind of impossible to come down to any specific conclusion because of how many different ways it could be taken.
If the item has anything to associate itself with, it could help narrow things down. Something as small as your loadout or strange parts could narrow down the scope to a point where witty names are easier to come up with.
As an example, I have a friend for example that has a Strange G. Launcher named "Doctor's Orders" with a kills while ubercharged strange part applied. He's waiting for a strange part: Kills from behind to be released so he can reset the counters and add a description "Good news, it's a suppository."

sorry, it WAS vague. I have a childish Pyro theme going (Pyro's Beanie, Sight for Sore Eyes), and a name that would match that loadout seems hard for me to come up with
