He could've sold the account login credentials while the set was still on there. That would've had some fun results, since it seemed to have been a sort of cat in the box type of thing. The set existed as long as nobody logged into the account to check wether it was actually there.
nerfed and the guy who got the bat first are friends and there is no prize, he just wanted some idiot to buy the bat for a giant price so he gets free items. in the end nerfed will be like "olol the prize was a crate all alone too bad you paid way too much for it". it is all a clever ruse
