Hey guys! I just wanted to say that it was awesome seeing so many high quality Arms Race 2 submissions. It was especially nice since it was my first time ever taking a part in a community event like this. I can't wait to see the results!

Voted. It was tough to choose just my favorite 3. I could have easily voted for 10 of them.

That's like 20x more votes than last year.
It looks like a bunch of vote verifications were posted to the [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TF2ArmsRace#comments"]main comment section[/URL] of the group rather than the verification thread. Will those be counted as verification or will they need to post in the thread?

Depends on what you mean by comment.
To verify your vote, go to this [url=https://steamcommunity.com/groups/TF2ArmsRace/discussions/0/523897277912218110/]Steam Discussion[/url] in the Arms Race Steam Group.
Then all you have to do is reply to the discussion.
This is required for your vote to count, but I'm counting group comments as well (posting in the discussion is preferred though).

Also don't forget all 289 votes could vote on three weapons. I'm sure the pool of votes is pretty massive. Like at least 800 votes before Verno counts the "verified" votes in the Group's comments section

Well unfortunately I think a lot of people didn't realize they had to join the group to comment, and I didn't change the discussion settings to allow for non-members posting until about midway through the voting. I should have done it right from the start.

Right now there are 309 replies to the verification discussion, but I'll also be counting group comments as well, so that will bring up the verified vote count a bit.
The combined suspense of waiting for the Arms Race results and praying my cosmetic gets into Invasion is going to kill me.

I crai. I miss the voting. I would of voted for Moon Shot, but it only replaces the Direct Hit. I tried to make it replace the Beggar's Bazooka but renaming files did not work for whatever reason.

i just decompiled it to take a look. those guys messed up the directory tree.
i think the easiest way to fix it:
1. uncompress the .vpk (just drag it to vpk.exe in /team fortress 2/bin for those of you who don't know. it'll make a foldered copy where the .vpk is)
2. go to /materials/models/weapons/c_items/
3. right click and copy "chaingune.vmt"
4. create folder /materials/models/workshop/weapons/c_models/c_ehandgun/
5. paste vmt into /c_ehandgun/
6. get rid of the .vpk or move it elsewhere so it won't interfere
leave the vtf alone, the vmt seems to refer to it correctly. unless i'm missing something else this should work. alternately you can edit the vmt to direct it to /c_ehandgun/ instead to make it more organized but that's slightly more work.

The results are actually much more distributed then last year. Here is last years pie chart for comparison...
