I think it'd be easy to block that stuff, the HS that I went to had a bot that went in a fixed anything that someone changed if it wasn't official.
We already have the cutting room floor for that.
If you need info somebody from the thread already did a good page on tcrf.net. Reading through it is really interesting anyways.

Does anyone know why the recent vids regarding EP3/HL3 from VNN are getting flagged as "inappropriate?" Even the video talking about it getting flagged was also flagged.

Could be gameplay?

I would guess youtube messing up, if I remember right someone did video of self whistling and it got tagged inappropriate, after that it was manually reviewed by "person" supposedly and still remained inappropriate somehow.
VNN does have a "testing video" up with the same gameplay but all sound removed. So far it doesn't seemed to be flagged. It was uploaded about 9 hours ago.

That could be, would make sense.
Sorry for this kind of post, but i'm really confused. Suddenly all of these EP3 gameplay experiments show up, and i dont know when this new leak happened. The latest news i got wind of was laidlaw's fanfic, and now i see this. Sorry for being a dumb fuck and not paying attention to things, but can someone explain me when/where these things came from?

It's alright, from what I understood the leak maps that people thought were related to EP2 was actually related to EP3 due to the dates on something (I don't remember what) being 2013 as the last edits.

Aah, now i understand. Is this the same ep1/ep2 leak that had a Ravine test map? Is there anywhere i can read a full list of what was found on it?
Again,thanks for the Info :)

About the proof-of-concept reel mentioned in Final Hours of Half-Life 2 that was shown to convince Gabe that HL2 was ready to be shown at E3 2002...
As we all know, the E3 2002 maps (strider, ship, terminal, depot, lab, town) were the ones used for the reel. The real question here is whether the reel is a demo recording or a video recording. Based on how the article called it "non-interactive", it could be any of these two.
Now, why is this important? If it was a demo recording, then that means it's useless to obtain them now because it'll be using our current leak assets. If they were video recordings however, then that means everything in the video file stays the way they are when they were recorded.
The reason why the meant-for-E3-2002-but-ended-up-being-reused-at-E3-2003 screenshots showing e3_strider and e3_terminal has different citizen models in them is because the screenshots were taken at different times between July 2001 and March 2002. It's likely that the demos/videos were recorded at these various points in time too.
If the reel is indeed made up of videos instead of demos and we can somehow convince someone at Valve to dig those videos up again, then that means we'll have recordings of how HL2 looked and played like during 2001 and 2002 along with the drastic changes that happened in between. After all, it's not entirely impossible for them to be videos because the video showing the 2002 Physcannon must've been recorded sometime in 2002 too only for Valve to dig it out for GDC 2006.

This post brought to you by Bink Video! and RAD Game Tools.
Does anyone know of any huge things that should be found? There was something called "spire" but no one seems to care about it or know what it is. I have read it may be the AirEx.

It was a stupid Youtube bot that was spamming flag reports on his Aftermath video, demonetizing them. It has since been disabled. The problem has been solved and now Tyler can make money from his video again.

That texture guy said Spire might've been an arctic map due to references to snow textures, possibly being Weather Control.
Also, I've got a feeling that Valve didn't use RAD Game Tools at that time (because the E3 2002 trailer is not available in .bik).
Also, sky_spire01 is used in demo_arctic.
I wonder what ever happened to this demo. It was done around the time that Valve was still working on Ep3 content before it was cut. I wonder if there were any more tests/demos that never went public but had interesting features like this.

Wait a minute. How the fuck are you claimed that these maps are related to hl3/ep3?
Is there any real evidence to suppose it?
Edit: It was not a reply to the previous post by ToyokaX. I mean only these 'experimental' maps.

He never said it was for EP3. All he said was that it was done around the time it was being developed.

Ah, in that case they are suspecting it because of the time frame the maps were last edited, as well as references to game features in HL3/ep3 that have leaked over the years somewhat corresponding to the things in the maps.

Don't know about the testing itself, but someone connected the map/environment to the old personal work of Gray Horsfield.
