So you all know about Alien Assassin, right? Well, I've looked at the original model's hitboxes and there's... uhm...
[T]https://i.imgur.com/9XIyN69.png[/T]
Uhhh...
...do you think it's intentional or just a result of auto-generated hitboxes?
It's typical for some older models. Also typical for models included in HL1 SDK. I'd say that's just how it was done back then. It's the bone itself.
Looks like Valve did Doom 3 before id did Doom 3 :v:
Gearbox Software!
Valve itself planned to implement different technology, rather complicated, those times simply could not cope with its implementation and were abandoned for a long time. Later it was planned to use in sequel, it did not work out, although technology was developed strongly, all mechanics worked perfectly throughout en in map of measure, it was possible to influence as much as possible. Only at the beginning of the development of Half-Life 2: Aftermath (Half-Life 2: Episode One and Two) fully implementation of main functional (what was planned originally in Quiver), relationship between logic of the world and game aspect.
http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/Emergency_flare
Gearbox themselves tried to use this technology in the development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. When implementing a Molotov cocktail, which did not included in final build of huge imbalance in power distribution by teams and performance. Also a tried to implement the original concept Valve create "Emergency Flare". You can find their remains in two audio files:
- "czero/weapons/flare.wav" (Leak version in 2003)
- "czero/weapons/flare_hit1.wav" (Leak version in 2003)
- "czeror/weapons/flare.wav" (Retail version in 2004)
- "czeror/weapons/flare_hit1.wav" (Retail version in 2004)
i too, feel thatt way whenever i look at a flashlight why doth life,, :hoff:
No, they abandoned it, because Half-Life: Blue Shift, does not become a full-fledged expansion pack as well as bonus content or chapters, as you like, to console port of Sega Dreamcast. Here are some places that the game looks too archaic, copy-paste, copy-paste and copy-paste.
Half-Life: Guard Duty was originally planned as a full-fledged expansion pack, alternative views on events taking place in HL1 and OP4 (Half-Life: Opposing Force). There could be serious experiments on all elements of the game. Why should a flashlight appear? Logically, at the beginning of HL1, we, player saw how in one door security guard, knocked on the door and in his hands he had a flashlight on. Then Barney does not have a special protective suit or a helmet on which it was possible to attach a device, such as a night vision, like that of Adrian Shephard in HECU. If these guys did not lose all the sources, then we would not lose original concept of Half-Life: Guard Duty:

I realized this possibility for a long time ago, but the sense from it, no one understand why this mod is needed, why was it created at all?. Everything was done in vain, all made in vain, life wasted in vain, life flashed in vain, don't have to be born in this white light.

It's the replacement for the crowbar ala Shepard's wrench. The bigger question is why they removed it.
It's the replacement for the crowbar ala Shepard's wrench.
How do you know the flashlight was a replacement for the Crowbar or, indeed, a melee weapon at all?
How do you know the flashlight was a replacement for the Crowbar or, indeed, a melee weapon at all?
Mostly because of the way he's holding it in third person, although it could just be a temp animation.
Then again, Shepard did have a knife together with the wrench, so the flashlight not being a melee weapon and is used in conjunction with the crowbar is possible too.
How do you know the flashlight was a replacement for the Crowbar or, indeed, a melee weapon at all?
Do you want me to go back to big playground? Nobody is offended? You stolen to my idea, pack, model, texture, map, code? Will not it be exactly?
It's the replacement for the crowbar ala Shepard's wrench. The bigger question is why they removed it.
Do you really want to see this, how does it actually work? You really want it? And this, too?

My tiny brain cannot fathom what I'm even looking at. A bunch of images? Gah the limits of this fragile human mind! So frustrating
No but seriously, how is this related to the flashlight? I feel like I've missed some necessary step in forming any connection here.

I think you first need to look at the links below, and then the pictures. Have you never used method of deduction? Why should I paint the whole dilemma, when the question itself and the answer are hidden in the links.
No but seriously, how is this related to the flashlight?
Maybe the the flashlight was actually the friends we made along the way.
I think you first need to look at the links below, and then the pictures. Have you never used method of deduction? Why should I paint the whole dilemma, when the question itself and the answer are hidden in the links.
But the links are for the pictures, though? Some of them don't load properly. And the others I already see as the pictures.
Anyway all I see is 'slightly different old model and next to it is newer model that isn't even different in any noteworthy way' and it somehow serves as your reply to the flashlight discussion but doesn't include any flashlight. And isn't even about Blue Shift. And why do you 'hide' your answers? This isn't very polite.
Or is this one of your yet another 'I'll subtly and passively-aggressively poll people on whether they need beta mods and if the answers match some hidden cypher that only I posess, I'll reveal something'? Why not just dump your content if you have some? Since you also did criticise this 'content mob'/inner circle kinda way of handling beta.

Why are you speaking in riddles exactly when people are just asking you really simple questions?
Huh, it seems that the old Drill sergeant appears to be using an old version of Shephard's face texture
Why are you speaking in riddles exactly when people are just asking you really simple questions?
It seemed like your nickname, you actually killing a monkey creatures or is it completely different circumstances?
You want to know more, read, study, filter received information, create a list, that you learned a lot, or are not right in today's, you want to understand the interlocutor, then try to understand it, state, circumstances, well-being, pretends or really tries to be illiterate, for example, me. You understand me, I do not think so, you are talking to your screen display, more accurately you talk yourself, own reflection.

Yes, you are right, in the last five years, you are the only person who made a comparative analysis. Multiplayer models in OP4 were actually taken from the early development of the game, for examples, if you look at Otis, then it is identical to the early development period.
I'll tell you directly - why has a knife in his left hand, not with his right? Explain?

What are you even talking about?
You don't understand.
This guys holds ALL the answers.
Just in incredibly cryptic forms.
It is our job to decode what he is saying.
We can barely understand valve when they speak every 100 years or so,why should we understand someone who is actively trying to be cryptic?
If you take all his posts together and convert them into hexadecimal and save it as a file, you will get the original citizen.mdl
Stop the presses, the Blue Shift lockers were originally green? This changes everything.
So going back to that Cremator. Here's the initial archive for anybody interested. Hope everybody's ok with Google Drive...
The unused gun in question is part of both cremator_reference.smd and cremator_body.smd, while the more familiar cone-nosed immolator is presented in gun_reference.smd.

Change .qcx files to .qc to be able to compile them.
Like I said the gun isn't even unwrapped so your best option is just slapping some monotone texture on it and be done with it. Unwrapping it is somewhat hard because it's just ugly.
He also has proper sources for blended walk animation, so that's also good.

I've never done a comparison before, how different is this model to the regular leak antlion?
I've never done a comparison before, how different is this model to the regular leak antlion?
It's the Antlion model used at the time the E3 2002 screenshots were taken, basically their fangs are longer and less detailed. Our friend restellarous says it better:

Why it's called a Birther though, I don't think anybody here has an idea.
Wouldn't it be better to do them in GoldSrc?
I wonder also why Opposing Force is the only one in the series to not have "cut content". Even CombineOverWiki have no info about that.
It just seems OpFor came to be with no scrapped content nor "flaws".
Upping my old post, because someone has posted a video about Opposing Force beta or "cut" content, not really so much, in the end, some reskins and doors here and there... The main change, as someone already said, is that the Pit Drones had some sort of control device on their heads, which was removed in the retail version. And also, that unmasked Adrian Shephard.

Wait what?
Anybody know about Team.Fortress.2.leaked.by.ANON.zip? apparently it was fake or a hoax but it was never confirmed for certain, can't find a link to it anywhere. Anybody know where I can find it? And no, it isn't Team GabeN's build, this was leaked before that. Threads talking about it date all the way back too 2003 and 2005.
EDIT: This thread speaks of an incomplete TF2 model archive of some sort, can anybody confirm this?

lucas93 is right. The archive is fake. It was distributed around the time of the original leak but the archive was incomplete. I asked Axel Gembe about it ages ago when he was hanging around our IRC channel and he confirmed it.

It (BMS) blocks the -tools -nop4 launch options?
It (BMS) blocks the -tools -nop4 launch options?
nop valve block the ability to load tools (thanks to leak of TF2 Beta and SFM) so the only know branch that you are allowed to load tools is post-L4D2 Branchs (loadtool, unloadtool commands)
PS: You can compile the code found in Source 2007 leak and "make" it like to Source Shader editor, (indeed that tool is a engine tool that works in the Client.dll whit a command line) in terms of functionality
