VALVE CUT CONTENT V2+1: Digging through Valve's trash since 2003!

I know Episode 1 has the original Ministrider model, and its entity was removed when Valve updated it to the newer engine.

That is strangely cute.
Love the ministrider.
EDIT: I started screaming after seeing the ministrider.

Here are some maps that sound interesting and that I think we haven't gotten yet. I will highlight the ones that sound the most interesting, all names are from the Pastebin link. (From ep1_intro_00.bsp or line 139)

I can't speak for the rest of them, but in the last thread, there was a video of the map "jeep_zombiezapper", which was an electric zapper upgrade thing to the jalopy.
I vaguely remember someone telling me the jalopy was originally going to be upgradeable in some way shape or form with different power-ups.
The zombiebaseball map has a jalopy with a swinging arm on the left side that you could use to kill zombies and send them flying.
The cowpuncher shows a very roughly brushed-out locomotive cowcatcher that "punches" forward to kill whatever is in front of the jalopy.
At least, that's what I remember hearing about them. Other details are kinda foggy. :/
EDIT: Most of this looks like it was accomplished with in-map I/O logic, so it should be fairly easy to recreate.

Now that I have your attention.
Shown above is 4 things, the early version of the ministrider model for ep2 (seen in early trailers) this model is genuine. The EP2 Jalopy, this is my remake I started a long time ago and is now finished (more on this soon) and finally a video and a pastebin list, the video shows in motion a genuine Episode 2 Beta based on particle benchmark code and early maps models and textures. The list shows all "compiled" episode 2 (hl2 and ep1 too) beta/alpha test maps and demo maps etc (there is definitely alot more of these that are not yet compiled possibly hundreds).
Now why am I showing this? well its simple. Last year I was commissioned privately to complete my Jalopy remake, in exchange I was offered the hl2 episode 2 beta for my collection I asked for proof of it obviously and this material is what I was sent.
I completed the commission but unfortunately when I asked for what I was promised in exchange I was jerked around and given excuse after excuse for about a year until now I explained that if I did not receive the beta that the deal was off.
I have not received any correspondence and as such I am releasing what I have publicly and telling everyone that yes a full on beta of ep2 (and possibly ep1) exists and is in the hands of at least 2 people who browse here and possibly many more this is being traded privately and as per usual the real fans of this content are being left out of the loop.
I am not going to incite any arguments and I wont respond to any inflammatory remarks or start any "drama" with this but I hope that at least one of these people sees it in themselves to share what they have and continue the interest in Half-lifes development. Its like gaming archaeology but someones hiding king tut, however I expect that people who have some sort of emotional attachment to these files will come up with any excuse not to, yet keep trading them privately.
Dont expect that video to stay up long but I have downloaded it in case we need to re-upload.
Regards all and keep up the good work!

For some reason, mini_skin_basecolour.tga and ministrider.tga rare broken for some reason. They're invisible except the glowing blue lights.

the textures include what I assume are self-illumination masks in their alpha channels, which is probably why you're seeing them they way you do, if you're viewing them in programs like Paint.NET.

If you are lazy and don't want to use the beta textures in the zip you can always use the retail ones without needing a fix.

I am sorry that you had to encounter that person.
They have sort of been weird in the past with me aswell, and I was only able to acquire the Portal Beta vmfs back in September by calling her phone and talking to her.
They are more attached to the Episode 2 content, and have informed me at one point that she had some Episode 3 test maps/code in that copy of the repository. Those proto_snow and borealis_interior maps may be what she was talking about.
I hope if another party comes along with the same luck that she has had then they would be more lenient on the idea of giving it out. Thank you for this.

Want a more detailed answer?
Because when people find out who has whatever, all people will do is harass the person endlessly and kick and scream at them over a handful of models and unfinished maps. There are very legit reasons why content isn't being released, it could be they are working on a mod with it and it's unfinished, it could be they legally are not allowed to release it, but people don't care, all they want is to get their way.
The guys/gals who have the content should not have to be subjected to that. I can tell you there are a good number of people with stuff y'all would want, but they are too scared to come out about it and tell a soul they have what they have.
Im just sitting here waiting for more crap to surface.
Hell i could care less if nobody released shit! Be happy with what you are getting. Project Zero busted his ass making a 1:1 replica of the jalopy, he didn't have to. Models will come and go just sit back and let people release what they want to release.
Here's my compiled ministrider.
Not sure if it's been posted or not but in Team Fortress Classic's titles.txt there are titles for unreleased maps:
War is different to warpath (there are separate titles for it) and possibly Italy was for Brotherhood of Arms - can't remember now.
To be clear, these are the original internal name of Team Fortress Classic's maps, not unreleased maps.
"Doublemint" is Epicenter.
"War" is Flagrun, but this TF2 wiki article is wrong as the level is actually called "War" in-game. Those hack wiki frauds!
"Italy" is Avanti, and the map itself is indeed based on the Italy map that was being created for Team Fortress 2. Apart from both obviously using the same textures and map geometry, we know the TF2 map was called Italy by the released screenshot names, such as this screenshot from this old Gabe interview.

I don't have any actuall screenshots or these maps in any condition tbh.
But I remember two maps from this list.
rift_test.bsp
In general it looks like previous released wasteland-themed maps. Small and have no any scripts on it. I didnt saved any screenshots of it.
But here is how it must be looks like:

proto_snow_01.bsp
Very rough map, most likely as ravenholm map (very similar in general with d1_town_01a). But there is SNOW on the ground and roofs. Seems like it is not related to any known hl2-projects since there are no any scripts.
You may believe me or not. But that's all I can say about it.

If i remember correctly. (not going to point fingers.) Wasn't there somebody that had 2 builds of Counter-Strike Global Offensive? One around 2012? (Or even later, Pardon my Alzheimer's..) and another build that had "a lot" more then we though it had? (PAX 2011 if i recall?) eh.
In other cases. That nova model is probably dated before they started making any type of announcement (Besides the port of CSS to the Xbox 360 in which was just a magazine announcement)
Just recorded a video... All descriptions inside.

What i find interesting is that the MP5 icon is there too and that shit survived until 2013. There might be a chance that someone has these but im guessing its really low and not even worth searching at this point.
i can see why they turned it to the strider we have now; that fight would've been extremely annoying
