The model and texture were taken from the beta (I hope).

That's nice!! Idk if is my mind playing tricks but it looks like some parts of the body need to be resized to make the texture fit perfectly or maybe resize the texture itself, this parts being the arms and mostly the torso. But dude nice job man

Yeah, that's where the real goldmine is. Unfortunately, Valve doesn't seem the careful type when dealing with "old junk", like what happened to the Goldsrc source code.

Very unlikely unfortunately. Valve uses a version control system for their stuff, which generally means they have a full history of all the various versions of code, art, models, etc. However, they switched version control systems after HL2 shipped, so in most cases they no longer have access to the history prior to December of 2004. All of that old stuff would be on Valve's old control system.
I assume that somewhere deep in backups at Valve there are historical copies of every state of every version of the engine, using VSS or Perforce or whatever system was in place at the time, but these are completely off limits to the public (including modders) and very hard to access even if you are at Valve. My hope is that someday Valve will hire an archivist/custodian to organize and maintain its records and files and figure out what sort of access makes sense for modders and students of game history. But right now, no such thing exists.

I didn't forget, I had D&D at the weekend so didn't have any time to work on it.
The Worker is a very minor project that I'm working on whenever I have the inclination really. So the status is 'done when it's done'.
