VALVE CUT CONTENT V2+1: Digging through Valve's trash since 2003!

Wasn't somebody recreating the old OICW a while back? This oughta be helpful.
If only we could get a footage/demo recording from the pre-2002 era... That'd be really informative.

Yep, the OICW from the screenshot is real.
But my thoughts on this is, that it might of been a place holder for counter strike:source.
I was playing around with Half Life Dreamcast, I got the console to open finally. For some reason it doesn't open if you use the default keyboard bind of ~ to open it so I bound it to a button on the controller and that worked for some reason. Here's some neat screenshots.

Tried to execute my custom HL config but it was too large.

Going through a level trigger often results in this:

It also dumps build info for some reason.
Some Dreamcast Specific Commands:

I always liked this version of the teleporter better.
Oh hey, remember this? It's a near-release client of TF2. Still works with its dedicated server builds! It DOES work on Steam, and it will report you as playing real TF2. Kinda funny.

Added Jackathan on Steam (for no real reason), but should we throw it on the archive for posterity?

watch for the security bugs though!
- Firstly, always spectator mode (GoldSRC engine and HLTV.exe) to present real name of map (without names format -> *******.bsp). This picture it shows map is called "de_dust.bsp".
- Second, large-borders (color black) in two side for screen, transparency of 80 percent. What do we see now? (Little brightening to borders screen):

- de_dust.bsp part?
- Exactly, FAKE AGAIN, LIVING!!! Now we need to understand that "Valve Time" often speaks not the truth. Do not even hesitate and recognizing their incompetence. So check your sources - perhaps it is not true and we go Gehenna and the eternal delusion in themselves.
So with the HD pack, was there ever a German version of it (besides the PlayStation 2 version of Half-Life)?

How did most of us miss that?
That Prospero stuff looks neat.
Does anybody know that the Half-Life SDK Contains some .max files that were not converted to .sdm?
Because this:

It's a early worldmodel of the gluon gun. I'd managed to get it converted to the smd format using the smd export plugin found in the "Mini SDK", as well as a older version of 3ds max (Then known as Kinetix 3D Studio MAX).
Now to make a p_egon out of it :)
Does anybody know that the Half-Life SDK Contains some .max files that were not converted to .sdm?
The most recent version of the SDK?
The most recent version of the SDK?
EVERY version of the SDK has these files.
BTW Heres the p model:

EDIT2:
Converting the model to smd restults in the textures being fucked up. :why:

Well done, that responded so quickly. I did not expect, so that you will discover all of their sources. Maximum expected that there will be a short message:
"Oooh, can goes to Taco Bell... You little chib bastard".

Portal Beta before it was cool
While we are on topic of HLSDK - is old RPG model in there?
Because MAX files are broken in there (either they're just a mess of polygons or just refuse to load)

EDIT2:

So, as we very well know, at least 80% of the ~2000-2001 brick textures were renamed to stone textures in 2002. Now, I was trying to determine which stone textures the old vert textures (the brickwall025 series) were renamed to, and I thought I had found it for a few hours... I thought old brickwall025 was stonewall026, but I was wrong unfortunately. I thought this because there was one weird thing. Th A-D variants don't match the style of the other textures (some elements are recycled from the old versions, but were changed to fit with the different new tone).
But what I really wanted to post about are the words above the door in stonewall026e (stonewall026f and e are one of those interconnected texture sets, f is the bottom, with the actual door, and e is the top of the door):

(Sharpened and resized)
"PALAIS DE JUSTICE" if you can't read and/or are Russian.
Now, I researched this and found a building in Paris, the Palace of Justice. An image of it caught my eye:

Recognise the door? Here's a compilation of stonewall026f and the bottom of e.

Observe the decor above the windows, ring a bell? It should, here's stonewall026g:

While I am still to find the reference of the top half of stonewall026e, I'm sure it's around here somewhere. It is also extremely probable that the older versions of stonewall026a-d were based off architecture from the Palace of Justice, specifically this side of it.
More evidence for the theory that the a-d variants aren't from the same era as e-g is that the a-d variants don't appear in any way on the Palace of Justice.
ALSO: While searching, I also found this picture:

Most of you will easily guess this one from buildingset001a, a composite texture of the stonewall023 series:

(Also resized and sharpened)
The correlation between this side of the Palace of Justice and the stonewall023 is that both of them are in the public square, Place Dauphine. It seems that Valve photographers (possibly Viktor Antonov, does anyone know how we can ask him?) took numerous pictures of buildings from the Place Dauphine square, and then texture artists made these textures. Could there be more textures that are based off buildings from the Place Dauphine square?
Where were the "Palais de Justice" part of the texture (in both its previous and current designation) used in the wcmaps?
paris
This texture seems more like the reference texture for windows:
