VALVE CUT CONTENT V2+1: Digging through Valve's trash since 2003!

It's in the w_irifle folder under the name 'W_IRifle_mask'
How does it look in-game? My computer is borked so I can't test it myself
So was it for Half-Life, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Team Fortress Classic or just for Blue Shift? And do you know if it's available through Steam?
Works with HL1, OP4, and BShift. Not sure about Steam since I'm from America.
A bit late, but where did this texture come from? I can't find it in the leak files.
Maybe. 50/50.
I've also noticed the machinery on the map looks like this picture of Prospero, even the textures.

It was clear from first days the publication of screenshots "Prospero" (from Greg Coomer site).

1. We have textures for Prospero
2. Prospero might have been called Tesla back then, or just a codename.
Tesla textures taken from "valve.bsp" (stitched inside "tesla.wad"). Map (valve.bsp and mrvalve.mdl) issued in 1999-2002 employee of Valve Software - Chris "Autolycus" Bokitch.

Who did the texture art for HL2? Ted Backman did the monsters and Viktor Antonov did the skyboxes afaik, but who did the regular wall/ground/ceiling textures and citizen textures?

Got a link? I've only been able to find the uncensored HD pack.
I'm finally finished with my hardest work yet. I present to you:
Beta Combine - Vanilla Remaster
[T]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/srends/58a690df3fcae.jpg[/T]
I personally loved the new Combine models from Missing Information that were styled after the concept images, but I had a really hard time differentiating between them while in combat.
So I thought, why not combine [DEL](haha funny joke)[/DEL] the best of both worlds: awesome high quality beta models + easy to recognize familiar colors = this mod
[T]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/skins/58a5a071dce94.jpg[/T] [T]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/skins/58a5a0734a9e1.jpg[/T] [T]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/skins/58a5a073c23a6.jpg[/T] [T]http://files.gamebanana.com/img/ss/skins/58a5a071ed3bc.jpg[/T]
I made them look very close to the originals while also improving upon them, for example I made the Shotgunner brighter to bring out more detail in the textures and to have improved visibility. Furthermore, I added all the original insignia back in their place for that extra familiarity (things like the Nova Prospekt logo and sleeve symbols). Lastly, I made some textures more vibrant to make them look newer and less worn down.
I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I did making them!
How you got the permission of ScarT to modify their MI models? They are very jealous of anyone touching their stuff, even if it was to make simple playermodels.
Cool edits anyway, they still looking professional yet not "chubby" as they look with their default armor.
Got a link? I've only been able to find the uncensored HD pack.
Sadly, no. I don't have a link, and I wouldn't know where to find one. I just know that it's a thing.

I didn't modify the models, only the textures.
However, I didn't even think about asking for permission to be completely honest. I was under the childish impression that we are one big happy modding family, because I always forget that's not how this works.
My anxiety is currently rising to levels I haven't felt in a while, but I hope they are fine with me doing this little spin on their content.
If they want me to take it down, I will though.
so beta i gues it´s ok?
Combine with an S at the end
I'm gonna have a fucking hernia

In the past Team GabeN [sp]I don't know what else to call them. MI Team? w/e[/sp] has never been happy about anyone using their content. I feel like they've since mellowed out about it nowadays, but I dunno. Ask ScarT or whatever name he goes by these days. He posts here sometimes.

Little bit of a random question, but is anyone looking for a decent mapper?

I removed every unnecessary S from the end of every "Combine" so everybody would stop having hernias.
I will ask ScarT if I can get a hold of him somehow. That's going to have to wait a bit though, since I can't miss school.

He's gonna start leaking soon.
Anyone got a link to the German HD pack?
Just checked Steam Half-Life - is you enable the HD pack in the German version the grunts still use the MP5.
This isn't all that interesting (and probably isn't even cut content), but something I noticed while playing around with mods that add extra player slots in Left 4 Dead 2 is that the hud has support for 5 players.

Again, not really anything interesting but it's still something I found curious.
http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/Borealis_(cut_ship) says that some versions of Half-Life had a couple of extra skyboxes? Anyone know the specifics?

Those skyboxes were made for TFC. They were first included in TFC's 1998 release, so definitely not for HL2.

Are they used for any Team Fortress Classic maps?

I cannot check my release archives at the moment, but TFC did not release in 1998. It was released in 1999. Last I was informed, these sky boxes first appeared in the Platinum releases of Half-Life which included HL1, Opposing Force, Counter-Strike, and Team Fortress Classic (a later Platinum release added Blue Shift). Obviously, the inclusion of these titles means it was late 99 at the earliest, but again, I cannot confirm this with my collection right now.

Whoops, mistake on my part.
