I've seen the messages and the posts. I talked to Clatronix yesterday.
So in the past we've had stuff taken down that was directly stolen from Missing Information (custom content - we don't own any of the leaked content). That's our right so we've put down DMCA strikes against whoever stole our stuff.
The models Clatronix reskinned I honestly don't know. We don't want to file a DMCA complaint just because we don't like the rendition of our content - that'd abusing the system and that's just wrong.
Someone said we're jealous of people using our content. That simply isn't true. We're against anyone using our content without our permission - that is our right. Often the mods that are stealing our content is way below our quality criteria so we would rather not have our content associated with these mods as we feel it misrepresents our work.
There's been plenty of people over the years that's asked if they could use our content, even if it is only temporary, I don't recall ever saying no. Hell Cvoxalury asked if I could send him some of our source code, and I gladly did.
There's always been this misconception that we're against other mod teams so we're doing everything to destroy them. This simply isn't true. I'm subscribed to even the shittiest mods on Moddb so I can get a glimpse of what everyone else is working on, I enjoy it no matter the quality.
Any questions?

Yes, I have a question.
MI? When is that happening? Me and ALOT of other people have been very eager to play the new steam version of the mod, but there hasn't really been much activity on it. You mind shedding some light on MI would you?
Thanks :cat:

I think it's whenever we have time or inclination (correct me if I'm wrong here, Scart). So 'done when it's done' basically.

He mentioned that they were removing Windows XP support from the Steam release (whenever that happens), and I'm out to prove him wrong :hurr:
[editline]1st March 2017[/editline]
Regardless, it sounded like they up to something since he even mentioned it.
From what i've heard both Snood and ScarT have full time jobs and they just work on the mod whenever they can.

These things do take time though.

- Leaks always occur in a row, where people tired of waiting to release something, both sides.
- Too late to justification. Many left because of these events - disgraces, ignominies, backbitings, chivvies, blablabla - for the clandestine use of your contents, MI_MI_MI_SHKI. Can you write it on a big banner "5th Avenue" for a day, maybe works. People will start to notice that: "They were doing something good for his short anima mundi. But too late for all of our work is erased due to your the efforts".

Not everyone will be able to present such a stupid phrase in this time?

Perchance. One of these decade, i started to think about ways of life that we can leave after his departure (to kingdom come or ad patres - your choice), anything good or bad. Many do not even think about, does not care. Only when the badly start to think about it, that we were doing a horrible think or irredeemable situation. It is difficult to live in this world awareness that your interlocutor does not commemorate your true intentions and always be left behind, all the events, everything seems pointless their existence. Almost wants to respect and influence in front of someone is alive or not alive. Everyone has their own reveries and dreams that never come true. There will come some deuce and start waving their falchion, smite and commend, sweep causa on brood of accuser.
What do we have in thread, any serious event that a person was willing to change the situation by 180 degrees? Either do not all have to be taken seriously and enjoy the real life? What do you think. I think just the interest, hobbies, and take their free time. Business is impossible to build. Reputation is also impossible to create such a precarious occupation, which nobody approve. That's what I research how to construct video games, how they develop, how they change, how quickly and progressively evolved specific design or game mechanics.

I'll backpeddle a little on this one. Windows XP support is going away if Valve releases Visual Studio 2015 support which it seems they might (check hlds mailing list).

This is correct. I think more or less all of us work fulltime jobs. I was 17 when MI was restarted and still in school.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll keep it in mind.

Alright, we'll make sure he continues to make them then.

Something I posted in the VCC discord.
These are files for a skin that someone on the Lost Concepts team made that I had buried deep in my archives. It's half-finished and a bit iffy but eh, enjoy!
Hey guys! Recently CW3D and I collaborated to make a beta skin pack, and it's finally finished.
Beta Anti-Personnel Devices pack

It has some new & improved things as well as some old classics.
The pack includes:
- Improved beta Rollermines with added support for Episode 1 hacked and exploding versions
- Beta Turrets + rebel repaint versions for Episode 2
- Classic beta Manhacks + orange E3 variant
Also, here is a video of the E3 orange Manhack. This is where we got the inspiration for it.

Keep doing good job.
Also add some beta sounds for Turrets and Manhacks because also remember that Manhacks where have Chainsaw-like roar... Like video I was pointing out.

Here's an absolutely worhtless find: in one of the original HL2 map source files - d3_breen_01 - there's a disabled visgroup for an additonal "petal" on top of the teleport tower. And it references a missing texture that's neither in HL2 nor the leak, metalwall083a.
[t]https://pp.userapi.com/c639225/v639225812/c26d/dgwtDcTU7s4.jpg[/t]
Curiously, it is referenced in the Airex maps.

Maybe it was to be an early Combine metal sheet?
As true beta maniacs, we must find this texture.
The hunt for missing asset ensues!
Um I think I just found the TF2 MIRV v_model. It is higher poly and has more detail on it than the w_model we only have.

that's really cool! But where did you find it?
-huge ass post I aint gonna quote like a spaz-
Man I adore all these new skin releases. Hardly anything in these are new, but I love seeing these updated for newer versions of hl2
Keep it up y'all
Cool HL2 logo concepts for anyone who missed them. Vivendi (HL2 Publisher) made these:
