Aside from rewriting file names, how did you manage to port the Leak's HUD into the Goldsrc engine? [editline]11th March 2017[/editline] May I ask, how is this an idiotic question?
I don't know what I was talking about...

That screenshot VXP took was not done in the GoldSrc engine. And while that HUD was ported into the GoldSrc, it wasn't done by VXP, either (I don't remember who did it, but it's somewhere on the web).

I agree in it being more intimidating. I think it's the "eyes" being dark instead of light really.

I do believe that the "HUD" was ported into the Goldsrc engine by a user who is commonly referred to as "Maxim Molodikov." As I recall, the HUD was used for his cancelled Half-Life mod, "Half-Life: Dissident." Correct me if I'm wrong. Actually it looks more like the mini-strider in episode 1.

It is just a sprite texture replacement.

Maybe you both get married to get closer PelPix. Another option is to find a sacrifice for this ritual.
Finally someone who has any idea on how to get things done!
Don't know if I'm late, but I don't really care. Stacker posted some early HL1 screenshot in the VCC discord, and I recognized the outfit of an early NPC Then I compared it with the concept art that Valvetime released of the Headcrab Zombie. At the very least, it gives some insight on when this concept art was made.
Ayy. It was me. :P But it's not a correct port of the old HUD tbh. It is just a sprite texture replacement.
I see. It may not be a direct port, but it's pleasing to the eyes. :v:
Anyone know where I can find the original CS:GO Beta MP5 textures, sounds, models and animations? I looked around on the web but only found it with either a different model, different texture or custom animations. Or it only containing scripts and not the files for the MP5.
Don't know if I'm late, but I don't really care. It looks like it's using alpha Barney's walk animation, but I can't tell what gun it's holding.
Kave be damned for hosting those on some temporary filehost solution!
I have HUD sources that are reliably stored in my rare DVD backups. Once I also ported, some bits sprite textures of HL2Beta on GoldSRC: https://web.archive.org/web/20140714153236/http://www.moddb.com/mods/unknown-half-life-15 http://piccy.info/view3/4654718/fb153596de1348503e76868c8c807ed7/ Also who owns my sources "Unknown Half-Life 1" (by LovErL0ΛDrivE), know that among this junk stuff is have that some code allows to run "HL2 Alpha HUD on HL1" (by SiPlus) (Readme file mentioning this fact). On the topic of comparisons, I'm gonna bring up one that I can see. Take a gander at Eli Maxwell: Now at the Citizen17 torso texture: Too abstract? More than likely.
all things considered we're pretty lucky to even have the synth scanners in retail hl2. they look like something destined for the trash can like the rest. the fun part is they're hard-coded to replace the normal scanner only in bsp names starting with d3_c17_

-snip, terrible idea and i am an idiot- Does anyone know why HL2: Survivor of all things has a Combine Assassin that's more accurate to the concept art than the actual leak model?

They look like they belong to the beta and valve didn't have time to think of a stupid reason to cut them in time.
I like the synth scanners, I think they're cute :(
