He actually just took some screenshots in Garry's Mod with a posed model of the Metrocop carrying the Health vial.
Don't forget the folder full of gore they were using as texture reference.
It was so bad they decided to use potato skins and house siding instead.
If you don't mind... Could you point me to this "folder" and the original model?
If you don't mind... Could you point me to this "folder" and the original model?
The folder is only mentioned in the L4D2 commentary
[Bronwen Grimes] The infected textures are part hand-painted, part photographic reference. One of our team members had a nightmare folder full of photographs of people suffering from bizarre diseases and injuries. They were so hard to look at that the infected actually contain none of these. Instead, the secret ingredients for infecting normal-looking human textures are photos of housing insulation and potato skins.
I just found an animation that it looked like he was tossing something up and catching it (maybe a grenade, not sure) so i just waited for the right moment and took the screenshot. Also if you don't believe it's me, PM my Gamebanana account (stormfoxy) (yes I'm terrible with names) and I'll confirm.

Also has anyone considered replacing the Hunter Chopper with the Attack Helicopter? Well I've been running into problems:
1. Doesn't shoot or sometimes doesn't deploy mines
2. In the leak, it has a working turret but after decompiling it, there's only an idle animation (I also talked to Clatronix about this too and we're both confused)
When testing it in Lost Coast, it works except for shooting through the cockpit. I believe it's only able to shoot due to the Gunship AI being used instead of the Chopper's.

I'll try to get a screenshot of it shooting through the cockpit soon.
There's also another thing I wanted to do but apparently it's causing a weird problem. I'm also trying to replace the Combine APC with the VAB APC (the improved one by T-braze) and HL2 keeps crashing at certain areas of Water Hazard (Clatronix and I came to the conclusion that the APC is the cause but we're not sure why)
Any advice or thoughts on these?
Any advice or thoughts on these?
Chopper might be missing attachment points for mines/gun?
Also I don't think the leak decompiler makes pose parameters? Which I think is what the turret uses. May be talking out of my arse on both points though, these are just guesses.

It does shoot in Lost Coast but doesn't shoot in the others. I think I was using Crowbar to decompile. They're two models in the model folder that says combine1a_turret and combine1b_turret and when i try to view them using model viewer, it comes up with an error. I didn't see anything else in the models that seem to relate to the attack helicopter. Idk if those two turrents are apart of it or something else.

Here are screenshots from the leak that does show it moving. Like I said, I can't understand why the animations aren't there (or at least not there after decompiling)

From what I've noticed it can turn left, right, and down a little.

What's the difference about the two?

You mean the first two images? Its slightly looking more to the right but besides that, none. That's my fault for including a similar one.

Were you on a Xen map before you loaded it? I have a sneaking suspicion that the skybox doesn't always updated when changing maps.
If you want similar stuff just check that one page on Encyclopedia Dramatica
I remember seeing that, it starts off with cutesy animals and then you get a blue waffle

i remember that! when i was younger that was pretty eerie for some reason.
:snip:
To break the silence, I decided to show something that I don't believe was shown here before.
ValveTime's Cold Case story on October Moore as a Valve Voice Actress. To sum it up, October Moore is the voice actress for the Wii Fit Trainer and it was claimed by her brother on a public forum that she was supposedly the main character/voice for Portal 2, or some other unannounced Valve game. Anything more could not be said (NDAs and such). It was never discovered what her role was and all attempts to contact her and ask her about the subject have failed. And thus it remains a cold case.

I've known about this for years, but I never got that Xen skybox at all.

The fact that the security guards appear on the map (when you load it in singleplayer) could suggest that crossfire is yet another map originally designed for the cancelled co-op mode, adapted to deathmatch (the other being subtransit).
Then again, they could have been just added for testing, since crossfire was added to HL1 with patch 1.0.0.8 (according to the Combine OverWiki).
Based on what someone said on my WIP page for the attack helicopter, one idea was to mess around with the attachments in the QC. Idk if this would solve the problem or not but considering that idk how to model, I'm gonna try it. When opening the attack helicopter with the beta model viewer compared to the retail one, I can now see the attachments and where they seem to go to. So I edited attachment 3 to use turretmuzzle instead of one of the podmuzzles but I can't seem to compile it, keep getting the error of bad command -90

Why don't you rip it from one of the modelpacks on the garrysmod workshop? Those are already ported and function, but there is one problem. The gun doesn't move, and this seems to break it in a weird way. It won't attack if you are under it, only if you pass within the field of fire on the front end. But if you do, it'll follow you for the rest of the burst.

Yes I did grab one off of the workshop but the reason why I'm looking at it in the leak is to figure out how to fix the gun problem, if possible.
I know this isn't exactly leaked or cut content (or anything new really), but since somebody finally created a program that can convert .bs2 files into .bsp, I thought I'd take a moment to present you, the lost deathmatch levels from HL1 PS2 finally ported into PC:

Also sorry if my images keep turning out large, not sure how to fix that. Yes I was told that the orange is due to blood stain but I wanted a little more variety and I kept that to match the corpse.
Using [t][/t] tags make images smaller if you want to reduce them

Please do try and make the males skinny. With that texture they actually look fatter than with vanilla texture. They seem so well-fed, I suspect they're collaborating with the invaders, they all work for the Inner party! Triple chocolate rations for the fat bastards.

Holy shit I only noticed this now.
Chubby bastards.
I said it was a RECREATION. Idk how to model, that's why I used the BETA REBELS as the model.
