It feels more natural without a timer. And it's not like they didn't make sure that each and every playtester can reach the end in [I]time[/I] anyway.

Either they just used the old timer texture from the old citadel as a placeholder, or this map is very old and this timer was left the untouched since when they still used tiles for the citadel.
It might have also been for dev use only.

There IS a Super Soldier Synth, but it's just a re-modelled Overwatch soldier.

So I was browsing through the beta CS:GO vpk again, and I noticed a folder in the v_models named "rif_scar". I looked at the vtf inside and saw that it was the SCAR20 but with a beta texture and a slighly different UV. I tried searching for the model for this beta SCAR20 but I haven't found any unfortunely. OddDoc had a very early version of CS:GO, but no one could run it (I seem to have lost/accidentally deleted the files). I'm sure you could ask him.
