I like it
Believe it or not, but ~15
Why? I get this game is old but really only -15 people care about it at valve??? Really?!?! I remember back when I used to idolize gabe newell and think valve was the model of how to treat your customers, but I constantly am let down. I really cant defend or attack this, it just feels hollow. Tf2 is never going to grow ever again. I dont wanna wait anymore, If this keeps happening I may just finally move on and leave this as a nostalgic relic of a game
When I was at valve Driller said the next major update would be out "by the end of the year". Unless he meant smissmas (which I doubt) the next update should be out soon. If the next campaign comes out in the summer that's fucking bullshit though
They said, "See you in 2017!" Are you saying the blog is lying to us?
Believe it or not, but ~15
the scout's voice actor got a signed atomizer from the tf team and it had 30 signatures on it

Can you really blame anybody for not wanting to be on the team?

Im not even mad, its just annoying at this point. So why shouldnt I complain? All they did is festives and community taunts. Do you consider how much money valve makes off of the fans of this game? What do we receive for that?

This have no excuse to not get some rebalances out, especially given the state of the game.
They said, "See you in 2017!" Are you saying the blog is lying to us?
I wouldn't put it over valve to cheekishly imply this was the entirety of the update only to follow up with "Just kidding! We're not done yet!" Issue is, they're on such a shitty streak even the comfort of that thought isn't believable to me anymore
my biggest disappointment is that they still haven't put class limits in competitive mm mm was in beta for a year before its release, and now we're closing in on two years of people saying "hey valve, we need class limits for 6v6 competitive matchmaking!" and...nothing. nothing. i legitimately feel like a fool for ever thinking the tf team could turn things around and enable this game to grow. they don't listen. they don't give enough of a shit to communicate, or announce content submission deadlines to let the community do the rest of the work. if not outright lying, they're content with misleading us into believing that we were going to get a major update to close off the year- and even the most hardened of us had no reason not to believe them, because that has always been a guarantee.
Unless the TF2 team are going to defy our expectations (which they don't, besides surprising us with new lows) we are not going to get another major update until summer 2017. Forget not getting any new weapons in 1 or 2 years, we're going to go an entire year without any kind of real content.
Jesus christ, a festive fire axe? Really? This was already the worst xmas update but then they managed to make a festive more pointless than the bonesaw. At least that one looked interesting.
If the comic isnt out by q1 of 2017 its never coming out.
But this is after we got a broken Summer update, a sad excuse for Halloween, and no comic. Your second was thinking they can do no wrong. The game has been out for nine years. Is it really that shocking to you that not many people at Valve have that much drive to work on TF2 anymore? MvM was probably the last big "giant twist" on things that was actively spearheaded by a lot of people at Valve. It's important to remember, also, that they are working on Dota 2, CS:GO, VR, Steam and probably quite a few unannounced projects or experiments in other things. We already know that they have an "unannounced project" or something along those lines coming out next year, so that already ties up a few more people working on that. I am not saying Valve can do no wrong, but I'm offering reasons and hypothesises as to why the updates have been lacking, instead of just whining about it.
Let's focus on important things, what's the stupidest thing we can make contra say?
What scares me the most is, what if this is what Valve considers a Major Update they skipped Halloween for... The power of delusional and positive thinking hopes for the rest to come in the next 5 weeks but boy geel, that dude better has something to say for himself
What about me
I can't believe it's gotten to the point where people shame on an update over a single new festive weapon.
I said it was already bad for countless other reasons. This horrendous choice is just personally insulting. I'd be mad at them wasting another class's festive on a useless weapon, too.
Workshop items for an entire update, and it's the smissmas update of all things. Wow. Nice. Great job.
They said, "See you in 2017!" Are you saying the blog is lying to us?
No..?
What about me
by "that dude" he means EricS, who told you the next major update would be out before the end of the year
Let's focus on important things, what's the stupidest thing we can make contra say?
This was a Great Update Stupid because it wasn't
Has anyone tested if you can use the festivizer on previous weapons that were festive?
What about me
you died before mym released
Here are the new items. [sp]4 separate beanies![/sp]
I hope someone makes a Towering pillar of beanies soon.

Its not nice to your customers to keep them in the dark so damn long, its frustrating as hell trying to be a valve fan. As for idolizing them, it was mainly because after I played portal I wanted more content, and played through all their other games, and they were all fantastic. It was also around the time of the love and war tf2 update that I joined and for me the game was at its peak, so I was very excited until end of the line hit.
Workshop items for an entire update, and it's the smissmas update of all things. Wow. Nice. Good update :)
