Major Update Speculation V35 - A Distinctive Lack of Communication
I generally believe on the list of priorities for re-balancing, melee weapons rank really low on the list of stuff to fix for Valve.
Given the choice between re-balancing a primary weapon with unique sounds, a unique model, and possibly unique animations, versus re-balancing a melee weapon on a class that barely uses its melee weapon anyway, the priority really should be on the primary. And Pyro's primaries are still kind of a mess.
Or fix both since it takes zero effort to tweak stat values and playtest..

I actually disagree.
When it comes to Melee weapons, almost every class has a melee that outclasses stock, whether that be a flat or objective upgrade.
Its probably the least balanced catagory of weapons.
that reminds me, they still haven't fixed the Quickiebomb using the lowest LOD in first person.
the same thing that plagued the SR and SJ long ago, remember?
there goes good guy delfy!
helping valve all by himself because thats definitely whats happening here!
It's the greatest Christmas present of all: forcing them to come back to work during the holidays. Team Fortress is their family now.

This is his idiotic mindset that ruins tf2 for the entire playerbase.
"I showed people this exploit, now everybody is doing it. valve has to fix it now."

To top this shitstorm off he filled it with ads as always, 4 of which are pre-roll.

Valve has gone on vacation, we are fucked.
Exploits like this should be bannable.
but valve cant even ban hackers properly.
If Delfy is actually serious about that I'd even go so far that the guy has Schizophrenia.
Either way, the issue with melee is that it obviously isnt used a lot in combat - which is why utility melee will always be used, since it gives you benefits in actual outside-melee combat.
I really think they should just slap a movement bonus when stock melee is out, and do something else with the rest. Give it a Major Combat-bonus, give it some other utility etc.
You're all vastly over thinking what can be summarized as a second language English speaker who focuses more on his income than he does the resulting impact on the game
He's an ass but labelling him with disorders and implying he should be banned is a little extreme
Honestly if the community was mature enough to ignore him he'd die off, and if valve was adamant enough about fixing bugs he'd struggle, but as it is now as long as exploits exist people to publicize them will too. All you can do is ask abusers to report the bugs directly and wait for a fix before releasing their video.
I went into some server's, the glitch is happening alot now.
Even my friends has betrayed me and done this exploit to me as well
huntsman's the only projectile worth using that thing with. anything else is a waste of time :v:
It's been 2 and a half years and they still haven't tried to make the Classic relevant.
It's great for increasing your FOV.
The Classic is a slower-charging Huntsman, but you have hitscan instead of incredibly unreliable arrow projectile.
Edit: Jump rev to avoid the slow penalty.
And a scoped shotgun. (450 headshot, or 135 bodyshot on close quarters is akin to a slug.)
360 noscopes included.
If it doesn't suit you, it doesn't. Doesn't mean others aren't using it to a good effect. Same can be said about almost any unlock - except the Rift melees.
I've actually seen a free to play who's just standing in one spot and hipfiring everyone from medium range like crazy - he got 3rd place at the end.
the classic isn't meant to be a really good rifle, they just added it straight from TFC, just like the original, they didn't just add a weapon that fires from the middle of your screen because they thought it's relevant, they just copied it from QWTF

Grenading Engie nests to troll them... More so when they're big nests with multiple engineers.

TFC's sniper rifle IMO was a tad bit easier to use to the QWTF sniper rifle ( which TF2 decided to go with thank goodness ), I think mainly because you didn't have to scope out after every shot it was a tiny bit more efficient in the long run. At least that's what I got out of it when I played TFC.
Although, there was a workaround in QWTF using the FOV console command that made it just as easy to snipe technically...

Why are you not using an ad blocker?
ublock origin and adblock plus are pretty good.
If Delfy is actually serious about that I'd even go so far that the guy has Schizophrenia.
hyperbole much? i don't like the guy either but there's no reason to assume he's mentally ill

I can understand not using one for the sake of other youtubers.
but I would NEVER turn off adblock for delfy.

Already got ublock and use it on nearly all sites par from youtube so I can support creators.
Considering the pathetic amounts of items added to Tf2 with recent updates, I feel like it would be okay, if crates were done monthly along with updates. The way they do it now is just sad.

They easily could do monthly crates, there is enough community content to warrant it.
But copy pasting files is too hard for valve to do.
So instead they'll do it once or twice a year it seems.

I was just almost wondering if that could be a suggestion that tons of us sent valve, I mean they've done it before with the mayflower case.

i'm opposed to the idea of monthly crates unless they're untiered. that said i agree how pathetic it is for valve to add so few cosmetics in their updates. remember when we got a new cosmetic every month? that was before the importer was even added so there's no excuse of difficulty

I don't mind tiered crates nowadays, mostly because how everyone has stopped falling for it, but yeah they are annoying.
I'm OK with tiered crates as a means of making the unbox odds for various items a little more clear, and a means in which to try and trade up for a 'better' item for those who really, really like to unbox. I'd like it better if they listed direct percentages, though.
I'm also hoping to try my hand at modeling before long, and attempt to shoot for stuff that would be mercenary tier (but otherwise color within the lines for character theme and personality).
I fancy myself a connoisseur of unloved and disliked cosmetics as part of my studies and interests in the art of character design, and little more would bring joy to my heart than watching people immediately dump my handiwork into the steam market for 10% of what it cost them to unbox it.
Knowing Valve, they would probably spite me by making Boring Soldier Military Hat #3185 into an Elite item, haha.

I don't think they really put much thought into what's Elite grade. I assume they want to keep the best stuff mercenary or commando grade, but still put runner-ups as elite to make it seem like each crate's a good deal.
they put things that might obscure game mechanics or break the art style as elite grade so that theyre not often seen but a keen collector might buy one for themselves
they put things that might obscure game mechanics or break the art style as elite grade so that theyre not often seen but a keen collector might buy one for themselves
It seems in the past they've mostly done stuff that seems like something that players would want, but not enough to the point that people would get mad that "Oh all the good items are elite grade" except for the mayflower crate...

elite = gimmick items
the reason the banana hat and the cardboard pirate are elite is because if those were common every server would be littered with bananas and pirates
theyre goofy, artstyle-tampering items that shouldnt often be seen and are funny in moderation

I suppose that makes enough sense. Or both of us are just completely overthinking this and valve just chooses stuff at random. Nah I actually agree with what you're saying though. Can't have too many edgy bedouin bandanas around.
