Has the engineer known as "conagher" ever been shown as red, or only blue? because beard engy is shown as blue and is called conagher in the above page. I like how they posted the comic's title page in advance with so much speculation material crammed in just before releasing the comic. Gets people hyped and all. We haven't had that kind of thing in... years

And it only took 4 more months than originally projected. for a series that took 2 more years than originally projected.

Personally, my interpretation is that the nine canon mercs are all the same character, regardless of what team they're on. Scout is always Scout, Heavy is always Heavy, Engie is always Engie. They just keep getting shuffled back and forth between RED and BLU, with the gaps on each team being filled with faceless randos. Yes I realize that Meet the Spy has both a RED and BLU Spy in the same room. Just don't think about it too hard.

Just don't think about it too hard.[/QUOTE] I'd like to imagine that the original mercs were cloned to have BLU counterparts somehow, and the BLU Engie is the last one surviving after the robot attacks.

The Respawn Hypothesis is the best theory I saw for this, but unfortunately the original page is down. the tldr is that the respawn system doubles as a cloning system developed by Dell, and cosmetics are used for people to have a sense of self in the endless combat at the end of the day, however, only the 9 original mercs clock out

Isn't it like canonically the BLU team died at Helltower with the RED team escaping and moving on to fight the robots?
