It's time for a comic recap. Notable things off the top of my head: Gray is dead, killed by the removal of his life-extending-machine by the TFC Heavy. Three of the existing TFC team is dead - the Spy, the Pyro, and I forget the other one. TFC Medic is still AWOL, probably not showing up. Ms. Pauling gave out GPS co-ordinates for the Administrator's rendezvous point to the TFC Spy, who was disguised as the TF2 Heavy. However, he promptly died, so the TFC team probably doesn't know where she is. Sniper was shot! And promptly revived by the Medic after twelve hours. And now the Medic has a bone to pick with the TFC Heavy after he killed Archimedes (temporarily). Soldier, Zhanna, Ms. Pauling, Spy, Pyro and Demo are currently being strangled by blood-sucking robots. Heavy and Scout was last seen with Saxton and Maggie in an empty Australium mine in Australia. Sniper is somewhere in Gray's base. BLU Engineer - Dell Conagher - was last seen fitting a new and improved version of the life-extending-machine to the Administrator's wrist, who now has enough time to settle an old debt. Sniper's birth-mother blasted into space in an Australium rocket full of booze. Redmond and Blutarch are still dead. Merasmus is still in jail. Old Nick is still dead. Most importantly, Tom Jones is dead.
I swear to God, Heavy better get some decent action scenes and not some bullshit blue ball cutaway like the other comics had where we just cut to Soldier doing something [B][I]WACKY [/I][/B]and [I][B]RANDOM[/B][/I]

Say what you will, you cannot fault them for the comic book cover shout-outs. I doubt it is a clue, but did Supergirl really end up dead in the comic the TF cover spoofs?

I'd say "Ah, that new TF comic smell!" But it's hard to assign scents to virtual pixels. Even if they did carry a scent it would probably smell bad knowing the possible contents within. Speaking of which I would adore a paperback copy of these issues.

With how long we've been waiting between issues and all the recent celebrity deaths, I wonder if the real Tom Jones will be dead before the comic ends. :v:

I wonder if the comic announcement will come alongside a "What We're Doing" post from the TF2 team. Info on Pyro's Update, Jungle Theme status etc.

Why don't they have a Backpack button when your in the MvM lobby? Players have to go to the steam program, inspect a weapon, then press esc to get to your backpack without getting out of the lobby. I wish they bring out BP button while in lobbies so you can do things while you wait.

If you have "toggleconsole" binded to anything else, the console won't open in Casual, Ranked and MvM lobbies. On European keyboards we don't have that. I have the console binded to f11, and therefore I can't open it there.

He and Soldier will fight a brawl where Tom Jones twists Soldier's neck 1080 degrees. After that, Soldier respects him and Tom Jones becomes the 10th class. Calling it now. <side note>Isn't it great how people who have been depressed about the state of the game for weeks are instantly happy and optimistic when the comic announces. We all want to be happy with Valve's work because we know how good it can be, which is why we are so depressed when it isn't.
Speculation for this issue and the remaining one: 1 Medic dies, is reanimated by the very last of the Earth´s australium, foiling the administrator´s plans. 2 Totally out of the blue final boss/climactic battle foiled by the Soldier´s bumbling. Or: 1 Issue ends at cliffhanger with Medic´s death 2 Medic is reanimated with Australium, Administrator makes some sort of last stand (blows up own base, team must escape). Also something something Scout´s Tom Jones memorabilia

This is a little bit out of the blue, but I'm curious on the subject matter. I don't use shotguns on Heavy all that much since the minigun will generally out preform the shotguns, but how good is the family business when in comparison to the stock shotgun? If it turned out to be better, would anyone have an issue with it becoming multiclass to at least Engineer and/or Pyro?
It's about equal, probably better for Gunslinger engineers because it has more damage over time, but worse for Pyros if they just want to finish off someone because it has less burst. FB is one of those non-offensive boring unlocks that are just balanced but not really interesting.
