Did someone get a small 6.4 mb update like 4 hours ago? It doesn't say "workshop files" anywhere and i played like yesterday.

It is weird and very suspicious that we got an update, worth 6.4 mbs, with no official patch notes, and of course, the only thing known is "updated localization files. My only hopes is that this wont create anti hype, or as I like to define it, hype for something that isn't coming, or hype being generated from what isn't supposed to be hyping anything up. I'm getting odd vibes back from the Pyromania ARG and the weird hallucinations I had all night staying and slaving up to figure out what was going on. And wasn't the last January-April update, as in a large scale one, no content updates but actual updates, been about 6 years? And I don't want to count Hatless. That was a dark time. (edited a part out after a fact check)

But honestly at this point I don't expect more then a handful of weapons every few years, I prefer to see the TF2 team focus on balancing the weapons currently in the game.

There is no in-universe explanation for it; the truth of the matter is that the developers deemed assault rifles too generic for a colorful class-based shooter.

Out of the few animation changes a while back for "making the game pretty for twitch" or some malarkey like that, how they didn't give the Classic custom animations yet is baffling.

Not "We have to put this on the list so we dont look as bad" but actual Major Update with gameplay changes. We will see soon enough if they actually consider this minor update large enough to make up for not having Halloween, but Ill remain to stick to the theory that we'll have it early feb/in the next two weeks. They put the Saxxies on that list, which is why I think it doesnt mean as much as you think.

It's starting to look less and less like January is the update month. It's still possible it could come any day now, but we know Valve is erratic about release dates. The "minor update drought" theory may hold up in this case, and for all we know the update could show up tomorrow. But I wouldn't count on it.

Hope is the only thing we can do right now,but the update wont come sooner if we hope harder.

Guys, should I email Eric Smith or TF2 Team? Did anybody get a reply when sending an email to TF Team? I want to send an email with some questions and a report.

Blackavar, myself and I believe one other person in this thread have all sent emails with responses from Valve by emailing EricS. That guy is your best bet.

Hilariously, as I was writing the e-mail for reporting an oversight as Issue #5 redirects you to Comics but not Issue #6, I checked the link so I could give steps to reproduce (just in case), and turns out it's fixed now! 5 hrs ago it wasn't. Is Gaben reading my mind or something???

Speaking of Gaben, AmA on that meme subreddit about him tomorrow. The chances of TF2 being mentioned are as close as Issue 7# releasing in 2017, so dont get your hopes up
