So it turns out the way marketable Creepy Crawly Cases are made are in fact with transmute, BUT you need to use all 3 items that are marketable. Vintages or Description Tags work for example. But it must be very rare. I got 2 cases early on after maybe 20 tries, and thought I could make a profit. In total I did 250+ transmutes and spent a bunch of money. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you want a ton of untradable Halloween items.

The odds are low, I think you have equal chance to transmute all Halloween hats/skins minus the newer ones. So 1 in however many there are, but I think after 10 you get 1 extra or however that works.

So wait a Second, that means the only functional way to get a Case is to transmute? Means I'll have to buy 30 7 cent Strange Scottish Resistances and hope for my best luck?

I thought the new cases are also given out as Merasmission rewards? Are you saying those versions are untradable/unmarketable and the only ones that you can sell on SCM are the ones that come from transmutes?

However at this current moment, they are not functional for most peeps. Let's hope that Valve will extend the Event for three days as a compensation.

Because literally everyone who transmuted thought of doing that.

I got a marketable case from a contract, is that supposed to happen? vv Killed Monoculus over and over until it randomly worked, my Hellstone contract is still broken

I got the fairy Heavy wings while I was transmuting so I consider that a win

TF team has been getting crap for not fixing the merasmissions, but are they even aware that they are still broken after their last patch that claimed to fix them?

They're probably too occupied working on that one Pyro set to ship the fix.

I got a lot of spells, which in all honesty I'm fine with even if they don't really do anything for the spell book, or at least that I know about. I did end up getting two of those spider cases, can't market one till the 26th for whatever reason and the other is untradable... Fun times lol...

This update makes me fear for TF2's future. People have been begging for ages for Valve to get rid of tiered cosmetic crates yet they refuse to listen and continue to add tiered crates in an attempt to create artificial rarity, and all for the sake of money. I can understand them wanting to make money off the game, in fact I can't blame anyone for that, but you'd think that they would understand that they make so much money off the games already and that there's no reason to add tiered crates that nobody wants. I'm actually happy that there's been more communication from Valve than usual, but the same mistakes are still being made and it's really depressing to see one of my favorite games ever to down the drain like this.

We have no idea if tiered crates even sell more keys than normal ones. Can we count the number if it's s uncrated to determine how well certain crates have done?

I think we can all agree and tell valve that "well i mean, they're good items but they're not really all halloween items, please be a bit more selective next time yes?" also seriously pull off the restrictions on many items. some items get it that don't really need it, and others could use the restriction. either that or Screamovision. then again we've [B][U]already asked that a nabijiggaerbillion times[/U][/B] because i'm a lazy fuck who doesn't want to keep swapping his cosmetics.

The lack of an Update Page is understandable - afterall, they got nothing large to show-off. I'd stay optimistic for the Pyro Update, though.
