Have any evidence for that?
Do you know what a joke is?
Do you know what a joke is?
You get that he was just playing along right...
We're working on a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. We should have the update ready soon. -Eric
About damn time. :v:
probably a wrong place to ask, but what's the email where i can shoot about tf2? I want to ask if they can include a strange Conscientious Objector in the next crate they make
About damn time. :v: Edit: I've been told it's 1.3 Gb!!!
Where are you getting your info?
Where are you getting your info?
From his head? This is likely a small bugfix update.
From his head? This is likely a small bugfix update.
Oops I misread a chat.
We've released a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. The notes for the update are below. The new version number is 3780793. -Eric --------------------------- - Fixed a bug related to changing teams that caused various issues related to weapon projectiles, Engineer buildings and game modes - Fixed using the wrong thumbnail images for pass_district, pass_timbertown, and pl_swiftwater - Fixed the developer commentary audio files not being played properly - Fixed not being able to taunt with the Cleaner's Carbine - Added the LBTF2 6v6 Season 14 tournament medals - Added an option to hide the 'View Promotional Codes' button in the main menu - Can be toggled in the Adv. Options menu under the Miscellaneous Options section - Updated the models/materials for the Special Snowflake 2016 and the Gift of Giving 2016 community medals - Updated Mann vs. Machine mode - Fixed a case where late-joining a Mann Up match during the final wave could result in erroneously receiving a ten minute cooldown - Fixed a bug causing Invader's buildings to blow up if another Invader building of the same type is destroyed after the Engineer has died Note missed from the Smissmas update: - Fixed security issue reported by Amat Cama via GeekPwn
Great... If only we could get a fix for dead matches now.
Updated Mann vs. Machine mode
At least they still remember it exists
At least they still remember it exists
force-fed by sigsegv himself I'm afraid.
So much for your theories regarding an update drought. I'll see you all in July!
They finally gave the Cleaner's Carbine its taunt back. It only took them ~2 years!
I'll see you all in July!
When they finally release the Pyro update! One year after announcing it!
Anyone expecting a Workshop Wonderland medal, whether it be a Special Snowflake or a Gift of Giving, should be getting it over the next day or so now that the materials are more or less fixed. Still some issues with the paint on the Special Snowflake for some reason, but that's out of our hands.
I'm not buying the "We cant balance weapons because it requires playtesting and we dont have enough peeps for that" argument. It's true for when you turn a weapon into a different concept, or change something major and controversial, but there are some no-brainers you can fix by just changing a number, which dont require playtesting at all. Darwin's Shield says Hi.
honestly darwins danger shield and the razor back are such boring, unintuitive weapons I'd be totally fine if they got removed entirely.
honestly darwins danger shield and the razor back are such boring, unintuitive weapons I'd be totally fine if they got removed entirely.
They're boring, but I don't think passive buffs represented with bigass shields on the back are unintuitive. Shit like passive resistances or damage vulnerabilities that aren't displayed on the player model at all are super unintuitive though. And at a certain point the stacking of resistances and vulnerabilities gets way too convoluted. Like, could you even tell me how many rockets it would take to kill a jarate'd targe demoman being pocketed by a vacc medic while holding the claidheamh mor while being buffed by a battalion's backup? I'd just be guessing at that point.

EDIT: should also meant unintuitive for opponents - same for shields, bootlegger, etc. scoped in on a enemy sniper a million miles away it can be hard to tell if they have darwins, esp. with large cosmetics on.
Resistances overall were a terrible idea.
It's starting to look less and less like January is the update month. It's still possible it could come any day now, but we know Valve is erratic about release dates. The "minor update drought" theory may hold up in this case, and for all we know the update could show up tomorrow. But I wouldn't count on it.
If we are going to get a large update in Q1 I would say this week is the least likely week for it to be since the big TF2 rewind LAN is this weekend and I doubt the TF2 team would want to ship any major changes before a large LAN.
They finally gave the Cleaner's Carbine its taunt back. It only took them ~2 years!
It had its own taunt?
It had its own taunt?
Likely just the smg taunt
anyone else just get an update?
Resistances overall were a terrible idea.
Fists of Steel and Batallions Backup never reallly bothered me. But then those have clear cut downsides to them, and are somewhat situational.
Fists of Steel and Batallions Backup never reallly bothered me. Not everything is gonna be a winner.
Fists of Steel and Batallions Backup never reallly bothered me. But then those have clear cut downsides to them, and are somewhat situational.
I have a few minor issues with Fists of Steel, but nothing really serious or warranting a real change of any kind. At least not right now. Probably heavies second most useful melee unlock, only really trumped by GRU atm.

Not everything is gonna be a winner.
I'm kind of curious, but where would you find the situation to do that? I would assume that if you're pushing the cart through a dangerous area, you'd be better off just using your minigun to clear the path ahead.
