Anyone tried laying stickies then entering spawn during truce and see if it damages?, maybe also try changing loadout (not the stickybomb launcher obviously)
Anyone tried laying stickies then entering spawn during truce and see if it damages?, maybe also try changing loadout (not the stickybomb launcher obviously)
Yes they do, but you'd need to figure out some way to actually see wherever you're detonating. I set up a cloak and dagger spy to hide somewhere on ghost fort and detonated some stickies and managed to get some kills.
So did we just forget about the entire deal with the comp map rotation or
I didn't, I'm constantly furious Valve refuses to acknowledge what the game needs to grow competitively and shipped this 12-man pub with the nerve to call it "Competitive" and it's a goddamn shame because it really just needs a few things to a playable gamemode instead of a travesty: * implement 2 class limit on offense classes (scout/soldier/pyro) and a 1 class limit on defense/support classes (everyone else) to ensure both balanced games and fun games without double Spies/Snipers * implement an hours/casual level barrier of entry, as in CSGO, to prevent new players with literally no idea how to play the game from hopping into competitive * implement placement matches to properly sort players into their skill level * listen to the fucking competitive community and focus on KOTH and 5CP. hell, A/D is fine too, but PL is disastrous for 6s and CTF is outright unplayable in any competitive tf2 format. * update the voice codec to CS/Dota's so people can respond quickly to one another and actually make out what the other is saying bam I just made comp MM fun still no weapon bans, but provided Valve actually starts doing balancing work, that could be amended over time to help the comp scene itself grow, it's pretty damn simple: * support 6v6 properly, as it's the dominant TF2 competitive format and HL, its only rival, suffers from logistic difficulties (eighteen players), severe clutter and slow pacing, which make it less than ideal for spectator eSports (but still fun to play in my eyes) * add to the prize pool of community tourneys, give them coverage on the teamfortress youtube channel and blog, and if this is successful, give us a TF2 national/international. this is not hard to do and this would actually do so much for the health of the game and the scene we didn't wait 2 years for comp matchmaking for it to be a shitty, 12-man pub with restricted graphics settings and abandon penalties we also didn't provide feedback for nearly a full year for all of it to be ignored in favor of some UI upgrades and a "launch" with only the most minor changes to the beta
I checked Spine Chilling Skull's equip region and it does not look like anything changed?
It lost the face equip region, so it can be worn with face items now It only conflicts with other hats and whole head items now.
It lost the face equip region, so it can be worn with face items now It only conflicts with other hats and whole head items now.
I own one, but stuff like War Goggles still does not work with it.
Since the Pyro Update is likely happening before January, and the LAN is in January, I wonder what effect it will have on it given they are going to maybe make Pyro "useful"
Since the Pyro Update is likely happening before January, and the LAN is in January, I wonder what effect it will have on it given they are going to maybe make Pyro "useful"
I'm sure it'll make defending last marginally more interesting.
Slightly offtopic: Steam is (very likely) being dos'd by some bunch of skiddies, expect things in and out of TF2 not to work properly Source (if that's the case): The skids' twitter - but it could be Valve doing some maintenance, I don't know and neither does anyone for sure On topic:
- Updated the "tiny" spellbook spell - Fixed a case where players could get outside the world
Griefing should no longer be possible with OOB spots, unless something else is found.

Unlike Console Services such as PSN, Steam DDOS-Attacks normally only go for a few minutes to 1-2 hours, since Steam Servers aren't trash.
since Steam Servers aren't trash.
Debatable.
Steam Servers aren't trash.
Profiles don't display friend-lists... [t]http://i.imgur.com/JUQVZ3c.png[/t] Community shared-files (guides, screenshots) don't work... [t]http://i.imgur.com/egx1z1c.png[/t] All this because a bunch of skids ran their botnets - ...you were saying?
Debatable.

All this because a bunch of skids ran their botnets
There are like three different "hacker" groups claiming to have done this, for all we know this is a maintance. Either way, for what Steam is, and how relatively stable they react to ddos attacks, I would not consider their servers trash at all compared to console services which die for 3 days
Since the Pyro Update is likely happening before January, and the LAN is in January, I wonder what effect it will have on it given they are going to maybe make Pyro "useful"
We probably won't be seeing that Pyro update till at least spring. Maybe even summer depending on where their priorities are.
We probably won't be seeing that Pyro update till at least spring. Maybe even summer depending on where their priorities are.
It's probably going to be our Christmas update. If it takes them longer than 6 months to make the Pyro update, it's embarrassing.
We probably won't be seeing that Pyro update till at least spring. Maybe even summer depending on where their priorities are.
Look mate I know the TF Team isnt the sharpest tool in the shed but they arent a spoon
It's probably going to be our Christmas update. If it takes them longer than 6 months to make the Pyro update, it's embarrassing.
Well, atleast we'd be getting something between january-july where literally everyone burns out on the game
- Updated the equip region for the Spine-Chilling Skull
[t]http://i.imgur.com/cHpQ9pj.png[/t]
Look mate I know the TF Team isnt the sharpest tool in the shed but they arent a spoon
Your post makes me think of a crossover of a spoon, fork, saw and a shovel. Sure it can multitask but its not particularly good at anything. ... does feeling actually bad and sorry for Jill and the plant make me less of a monster?
so bets on the comic coming out this month?
I bet two thin dimes we don't get it before 2017.
so bets on the comic coming out this month?
I'm still not sure we'll be getting a 2nd update this year.
I'm starting to think that the comic will end up being one of valves many unfinished projects.
I'm starting to think that the comic will end up being one of valves many unfinished projects.
Eric already said that the comic is going to corelease with the Heavy update, which is being released alongside Half-Life 3 in an effort to push out a "Worth the Wait/Worth your Weight" update. Long story short; you're probably right.
i think you should just stop waiting around for it and just forget about it until it eventually comes setting up expectations for things that valve makes is also setting yourself up for disappointment and will make you impatient
i think you should just stop waiting around for it and just forget about it until it eventually comes setting up expectations for things that valve makes is also setting yourself up for disappointment and will make you impatient
I guess expecting a bi-monthly comic is out of the question.
I guess expecting a bi-monthly comic is out of the question.
i think you should've stopped expecting it to be bi-monthly when it took 4 months for the second issue to come out after the first one its been over 3 years man
i think you should've stopped expecting it to be bi-monthly when it took 4 months for the second issue to come out after the first one its been over 3 years man
Every two months has been nothing but disappointment.
Remember when people thought bi-monthly meant twice a month
