ok here's some wild speculations, I expect changes to contracts, new ones and changes to how they work, it's still fun but it gets boring over time, and some new additions, and I still think some new stuff was supposed to ship with MyM but they were scrapped at the end
I just hope next year is a bigger year for TF2, I'm not that invested into the competitive scene for TF2 so matchmaking didn't feel like a huge deal for me besides the first couple weeks of decent matches before they took out a bunch of stuff again maybe next year we'll finally get an MvM update, Asteroid or Cactus Canyon finished, and a better Halloween yea probably none of those will happen

Mayann or any update wont happen, unless there is a lot of commotion towards it and it's items and maps too. This applies to any update, item or a map separately too. Some of the mayann items, including iron gauntlets efects too were already shipped in the creepy crawly halloween crate so there is a chance that any item/map will ship regardless of the update (insert mayann, frontline, ye olde workshoppe, etc here), alone. Though with maps it's kind of hassle, since the props/textures and whatnot are made by several people so there would be a big list of people to actually contact to. Valve relies on the community to help them identify the maps and items they should ship. As for maps we've seen that the maps do not need to be new to get added into the game. Borneo was in the workshop for a long time untill it got added. Halloween maps Pit of Death and Maple Ridge were also in the workshop a bit over a year and those got added.

I enjoy having dinner with family and close friends, but it never really felt all that special to me afterwards... Black Friday can suck it lol...

You didn't miss nothing...God, i regret about farming gifts in past halloween, that fucking sucks...I really liked to get a real reward, not those fucking and boring contracts Even the ones that you had to play with that class you really hated was x100 better than any of those halloween contracts

I feel like they will just push out a slight update. New festives New cosmetics Most likely contracts. Maps to go with the contracts. So it will be kind of similar to this year's halloween.

i really feel like the largely obscure and undocumented mechanic of crit-healing should be replaced with unified healing all around, or something else. it's a powerful mechanic sure but it's virtually all guesswork unless youve seen with your own eyes your allies having recently taken damage. Flank classes or the like that you dont really pay much attention to on your team are going to be a lot more ambiguous on how recently they've been damaged, so whether or not you'll be dishing out crit heals on them is difficult to tell. This leaves you in a position where it's better to just automatically assume all of your teammates have taken damage just recently and that you wont be dealing crit heals, so that crit heals just become a pleasant surprise when they do happen. I don't know how you would rebalance this in a way that wouldnt drastically impact the medic meta, and it might just be possible to add a new hud element that displays crit heals, but the medic's UI is already super cluttered as is and I really feel it just adds another unnecessary layer of depth (but the bad sort of depth, the sort of depth that doesnt really call on any increase in skill so player involvement in this depth is largely irrelevant)

New maps and contracts to go with the campaigns, new cosmetics (obviously), balance changes, the Pyro update, and maybe even a Comp Mode that isn't shit. However, there's thus far no guarantee of new festives. Last year, they did "Festivizers", which turn skinned weapons festive. I don't know if they'll do more actual festive weapons this year, but I certainly hope so.

It could turn up as very disapointing like MyM I know festivizers. Still hope they would add new festives as a seperate as well as festivizers for skins.
