For one thing, you should use T tags instead of IMG tags to make it a thumbnail.
Also, I know it's Gmod so it's a bit limited, but the Engie's pose is very awkward. His left arm looks badly bent, and his right is not in any kind of natural resting position. His face is totally expressionless and there isn't any kind of motion or feeling in the way he's standing either, so he feels really static.

Also the lighting looks like boring crap; I think there's ways to fix that up in Gmod.

Yeah, the first think I noticed while uploading this was the engie was pretty stiff and awkward, I've also been experimenting with different lighting techniques aswell!
oh yeah.. and thanks for telling me about the T tags stuff, I'll fix that up right now :P

I'm no expert, but a simple lighting technique that I always find looks good is the basic three-point lighting. A back, key and fill; dim slightly blue in behind, whatever main (white/yellow) colour in front or off to the side a bit, dim orange slightly off to the side but behind, those are the lights respectively. Those colours I find look good but mess with those.

And the lighting colour should be very subtle if that's what you're going for, [URL="http://i.imgur.com/LWBqGgG.png"]here's [/URL]the last thing I made with that light setup.
