I made a dumb little graphic thing in 540x540 chunks with the Tumblr dashboard in mind, about previous claimants to the Stylised/Cartoony Manshoot Throne. You can view the full thing as a single image here because I doubt you'd like it if I embedded a 540x3240 image.
that was an great read. mind if i Translate it to spanish? also no shit i never realised how important are stuff like modding and community servers in a game's development over time. edit: [t]http://i.imgur.com/CkwzyVh.jpg[/t]
spy and pyro have the same voice actor!?!
yes
I'm somehow not surprised that Nolan North has the most roles
no miss pauling VA ? or they just count ingame VA only i didnt know chell make grunts
no miss pauling VA ? or they just count ingame VA only i didnt know chell make grunts
It's kind of an old image. This was also before the release of CSGO, I think, so that's not listed either.
Monoculus, Heavy, and Demo have the same voice actor. This obviously means Heavy is going to try to read the Bombnomicon and lose one of his eyes. He will also have a projectile or explosive based minigun in the update that goes with the comic or video.
and in the far future, the administrator gets abducted by aliens cyborg aliens!
Chell just uses the female hurt sounds from HL2.
She did in the original Portal, but you usually couldn't hear it because fall damage was negated and drowning doesn't let you hear it. If you dropped a cube on yourself enough times you'd hear the noises. She's silent in Portal 2.
That first Medic is super cute.
she wasn't even cosplaying lol she bought the medic dress the day before, when she was in a full scout's mom costume alongside a scout, but nobody posted pics of that :v: everyone was like "wow! that's a really good medic cosplay!" the entire day and kept stopping her for pics

Though it's pretty creepy if dudes are coming up asking to be taken pictures of with the person. It's one thing to compliment them, it's another to want to be in pictures with people that you've never seen before.
I don't think it's that weird to want a photo taken with a cosplay you like
As long as the cosplayer consents to it, it's generally okay.
Only time I've ever gotten a photo of a cosplayer without asking beforehand was a very very blatant homage to the game. He was dressed as Ness, I popped up from behind a display rack and bellowed
Pictures taken instantaneously! I'm a photographic genius, if I do say so myself! Okay, get ready for an instant memory! Look at the camera... Ready... Say, "fuzzy pickles."
I kinda surprised since he wasn't paying attention but he caught onto what I was doing pretty quickly and played along. Flashed the peace sign and everything.
I don't really think SiN deserves his popularity honestly. Sure he has a large fanbase but all he does is edit clips which isn't too hard.
He works 9 hours a day on one clip.
He works 9 hours a day on one clip.
I'm sorry, but I have a seriously hard time believing it takes nine hours to put the person's username, their home country's flag, and a few class lines to make the video seem more alive.
He works 9 hours a day on one clip.
I take less time to make the occasional clip for my school's morning show, and I actually have to do more than put some graphics in and do a bit of audio editing, like pulling clips off of camcorders or waiting for the shitty school computers the load the 100 other clips already made. Also, ha. hahahahaha. Hahahah. Holy shit, 9 hours a clip, where the hell did you pull that kind of statistic out of? At most he should be taking an hour a clip considering they're usually 30 seconds long, even rendering should only take about a half hour. The editing process for clips like that is take the source (no pun about source 2 intended) footage, put it in the timeline, play it through once, edit out the useless bits, enhance and add audio bytes, add graphics, and publish, either by exporting and then uploading to youtube or just uploading straight the youtube. That process shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for each part considering how short most of SiN's clips are.
He works 9 hours a day on one clip.
Considering he makes 2 a day on average he's either going to die of sleep depravity one day or he's the saddest human to exist.

Throw the clip in vegas, slap on your premade title card and nameplate, select a few random voicelines from the classes, throw in your premade endcard. it could all probably be done in less than an hour.

He's giving a heads-up and offering for the video to be a part of his series, in a polite enough manner. In my opinion his edits add value and give visibility to the video, but aside from that it's not much of a good deal if you already have visibility. Still I don't see anything low about it.
