Speaking of RWJ, look at where he is now. After he stopped 'borrowing' other people's videos and adding stupid comments onto them - he went onto Podcasts and from a few million hits per video, he's lucky to reach 500,000 per podcast (which is all he ever does now).

Point being, not as much as he used to have. Those 500,000 views are over a year since the video was published (should have said that initially). Some of his videos seem to barely scratch 50,000 at times. Yes, it's still a lot but not as much as before (where it would be a million views in 3 days).

Seriously, I have seen many other people making compilations of their own moments and they either have a really beautiful and classy montage with godlike effects or it's just a decent, simple montage, but enough to appreciate the moments the video features. NISLT montages does not really belong to one of these two categories.
they "did". its not that weren't funny, its more or less that he oversaturated everything and it went out of control, to a point he overdid its only joke so much it became boring really fast.
that, and the amazing shitfest that congregated in his videos became more relevant than the video itself.

I'd moreso opt to say valve neglected to give a proper introduction to taunt creation which leads most potential creators to hold off as they arent familiar with the process. I'm somewhat familiar myself and i still find issues prominent enough i've got some things sitting on the side (SFM doesnt export VCD, the faces freak out in the importer, there's no proper looping setup, issues with weapon hiding, etc etc)

not sure if this has mentioned, but some russians claim that those russians who steal the content and post it on steam artwork hub actually thought that steam artowrk hub is like facebook.
"oh I like this ! let's share this for the world to see !"
I cannot imagine if russians are this dumb according to some russian friends. but I personally witnessed that russians not only steal original content, but also deny comments that call them thieves and say "nope, I made this"
also, not all russians do this, just majority. I actually witnessed an australian stealing OC and put it up on steam artwork hub
