I randomly felt the desire to start concepting a design for a FemSoldier model (don't know of anyone else working on one ATM, though I do know that ChemicalAlia has a FemDemo model in the works). Don't know how long it will take me to actually start modeling once I've got a design down, but hey. Any opinions on the face? I'm worried she looks too manly or not angry enough.

Some quick starting points for costumery. Don't know if she should be dressed just like male Soldier or more like what women often wore (although I am pretty sure I'm going to be going with pants as opposed to a skirt even if military women did wear them). Also conflicted between the helmet and a hat. Started messing with colors since the original women's outfits I found were dark-colored, but I think that's probably too different from Soldier's bright jacket. Also threw the helmet on the women's outfit just to see what it might look like, but probably won't go with it because it makes her look more like a jockey than a soldier. I'll do full body concepts of these outfits later.

I would say she does look a tad manly in this picture, however in the other image when the helmet is on her head, she looks fine. So I contend that something in the upper face, above the nose or around the cheekbones, is throwing it off. In other words, maybe tweak it just a bit.

I'd say make the eyes a bit wider and make her eyebrows less thick, but I don't know how well that would turn out

Interestingly enough, I still have yet to see FemHeavy, FemMedic, FemSpy, and FemSniper be hyper-inflated. But given how the Internet works, it's likely that I just don't look hard enough. :v:

Alright, I'll see what happens. Although really, I do think that thinning out her eyebrows [I]might[/I] start inching over into "too feminine" territory. I feel that FemSoldier should be one of the fems that would put the least amount of effort into looking pretty (no makeup, no fancy hair, minimal body and facial hair trimming, etc.).

I'm guessing it's the nose, most women have their nose bridge curving inwards, even slightly (idk how to explain this any more, the closest thing I can relate it to is the graph of y=1/sqrt(x), dunno if that helps)

Except she actually has the same type of nose that I do. Mine bumps out like that. Doesn't look feminine and pretty, I know. But it is entirely possible for a woman to have a nose like that. I'll still look into it, though.

What about a sort of adaptation of the dress uniform for women in the us army in ww2 ? Maybe add on some tactical-ish features soldier has like his grenade belt and combat boots. For the hat you could just use an oversized cover like on the screamin' eagle or something similar

thats looking way great. the soldier's main feature is his jawline and you sure did a good job at it.
however, if anything has to be said about a femsoldier, i hope you'll just keep the same uniform as the regular soldier. it makes no sense whatsoever to give him something different given how soldier's backgroud is basically "self-proclaimed army man goes to war".
