if you think fempyro has to look any different you're wrong there doesn't even need to be visible breast. just play the game you idiots
reposting my post from the workslop thread because relevant
Here's the best non-sexualized Fem-Pyro out there [t]http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/974071pyro.png[/t] Plus it's easy to download and very compatible.
Why do we even talk about the female Pyro anymore? Every time its brought up nothing but a wave complaining ensues.
honestly I dont get why female pyro is neccesary, i enjoy the ambiguity and that its left up to the player to decide whats in there. Its easy for people to project themselves or what they want to see onto the pyro, and its great that Valve recognizes that and the importance of having a character that can be a character without limiting itself to gender.Strapping babingos on kind of defeats the purpose
I always liked to think that what you see of Pyro is Pyro. In other words, Pyro is the suit.

Baggy and you can only slightly tell it's a woman.
Why are the legs broken?
Why are the legs broken?
Somebody doesn't know how clothing works.
Why are the legs broken?
Because it's a drawing of someone wearing baggy clothes.
honestly I dont get why female pyro is neccesary, i enjoy the ambiguity and that its left up to the player to decide whats in there.
The female Pyro exists because it's for players who want something less ambiguous. That comes off as a "what's the point then?" because of the ambiguity argument for Pyro - which is important and valid because ambiguity for Pyro is such a strong part about Pyro's character. When we see the existence of Fempyros pop up it's weird to us, seems incredible pointless, or comes off as fetish fuel because of that aspect of Pyro's character design. But it's an alternate interpretation; it doesn't have to be one we agree with, it doesn't have to be one that makes sense. It just is. The existence of the old latex-suit Fempyro and this Fempyro provide choices for people who, once again, want a Pyro that is not ambiguous for either their game or whatever use they need it for (SFW and NSFW-wise). It's a mod as much as the Gabe Pyro, other female classes, and the anime TF2 mods. It's an alternate interpretation that is open as a second choice for anybody looking for something else. Is it necessary? No, but sometimes it doesn't have to be necessary or have a point. It just is. If I had asked myself if a gender-obvious interpretation of Pyro was necessary, this thing would not have been birthed into the world:
Bascially: Don't post fempyros :v:
Bascially: Don't post fempyros :v:
I though that was the opposite of what the last 2 posts were trying to say
It kind of saddens me that all your twats get tied into knots because people make mods for other people that they see only on their screen. If the simple existence of a thing upsets you that much, there should be quite a few other things to get up in arms in. Like child abuse. Rape. Racial/Gender/Sexual inequality. Seriously, grow up and grow a pair, and let other people do what they want. If you don't like it, don't fucking use it. Simple as that.
The twats get tied into knots because of the execution of some?

it seems people loves to use the world "sexualization" as much as they love to use "artstyle" without really being aware of what those two concepts means.
NSFW, Don't even ask.
This is like the time when you posted a picture of a huge dick in the LMAO pics thread, instead of the WTYO thread.

I sometimes run with a heavily skinned (including Corvalho's newest Fem-Pyro) TF2 because I wanted something new to look at as the stock models/textures just got...samey ('sometimes' because most of the time, I've got to remove a pile of mods due to Sv_pure). Sadly, you'll still get people who won't think along the same mindset and will just blindly froth at the mouth at such things but it's just something to expect I suppose. Anyway, some wallpapers I found on the Community hub quite a bit of time ago: [t]http://i.imgur.com/31yBbMs.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/9wn63WW.jpg[/t]
it seems people loves to use the world "sexualization" as much as they love to use "artstyle" without really being aware of what those two concepts means.
A fempyro where you can literally see "her" panty line is blatant sexualization. Same with a Pyro that has giant boobage, especially when you have examples like Fem!Scout that isn't sexualized in the least bit. Make a fem!Pyro where the identity of the character is retained and the only difference is the outward appearance, and even then the outward appearance is only changed to properly represent the difference in gender, and not to give an excuse to have more booty and boobs in a game that doesn't need it. You wanna use the fem!Pyro skins? Fine, go ahead, nobody's going to yell at you. But if you're the 1001st modeller/mod maker that decided "You know what a female Pyro needs? Sexy legs and lots of cleavage", then you don't even deserve to make skins/mods.
Personally I've always really liked how goofy FemPyro is. I never really liked to imagine FemPyro is actually female, just regular Pyro messing around with a weird ass suit from a bdsm shop he went to once.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/31yBbMs.jpg[/t]
Took me while to figure out what it's supposed to be. It's prophunt!

Hell, look at his Deviantart. If it wasn't like that, I'd be genuinely surprised; that's just his 'thing' but regardless, they're pretty well done models but I do admit the whole "Fetish to 'idea of sexy'" thing is a bit overdone. Now, until someone can put pen to paper (per se) and make a not-so sexualised pyro which retains some form of identity to the original (while still giving a form of feminine identity), we've just got to use those as the female equivalent. I do remember someone posting up a model like Corvalho's latest one minus the panty line some time ago. It was almost a carbon copy if my memory serves me correctly. No oversized breasts, thighboots etc. Also:
You wanna use the fem!Pyro skins? Fine, go ahead, nobody's going to yell at you.
Actually there have been people who froth at the mouth and start going bananas when they see the Fem Pyro (regardless of model) in a screenshot or gameplay video. It seems they just can't hold back their feelings. It's almost like those idiots who see a person in a fursuit and start throwing around insulting slurs before actually looking into what they're insulting (for example, they might be insulting someone who wears a fursuit as part of their job. They can't do much to stop that but they face the same wave of anger regardless).
Why are we still discussing this? Can this side of "what-fp-thinks-of-femclasses" be added to the OP or something?
I feel like the odd mann out in these discussions cause I actually like femscout and wish they would update it for the new cosmetics.
Why are we still discussing this? Can this side of "what-fp-thinks-of-femclasses" be added to the OP or something?
There's so many differing opinions about it, it'd need a whole thread to be honest (and it'd probably hit the post cap within a couple of hours). It'll fizzle out soon when something else pops up or everyone gets bored.
I don't know what the problem with sexualization is like at all. I don't understand why people think sexually appealing characters automatically mean sexist characters. I don't understand why people care so much about a simple and silly clientside mod.
