I get it, Scout-bot escapes and meets human counterpart, but honestly the character of The Scout isn't one of understanding and sympathy, he'd be the guy taking a bat right into that positronic brain just like the rest of his team.
That's the odd thing about having a cast of crazy/cold blooded/drunk murderous mercenaries, it's hard to make me think that they could feel sympathy, it's even harder to make me think they have sympathy for a machine, it's EVEN HARDER to make me think they have sympathy for a machine which they've been destroying millions of for 3 years.
This isn't to say it's not shot very nicely, it's downright pretty.
Even then, Scout is the most cliche class to use when making edgy feels videos. I don't know what people see in Scout specifically to make him the de facto edgy/depressed kid of TF2.
And I felt like the animation of the Robot wasn't robotic enough, felt too organic, but I guess it's harder to learn both.

Because he's the youngest, most of the people making those types of videos are the younger teenyboppers
and the other mercs are too crazy/black/old for them to relate to, scout then becomes the de facto class that
people can glom onto and make their own disgusting OC/edgelord/touchyfeely "thing" out of a character who essentially is a highly paid street thug.
Let's be honest, all characters are mostly to not take seriously but you can still make out these sort of stuff.
Story of a Sentry for example although i find it extremely exaggerated, it is a tearjerker despite Engineer being an insulting brainiac texan with his soulless buildings.

story of a sentry was terrible in a way its literally forcing you to feel simpathy for a turret - even though millons of these get destroyed on a daily basis. you could do the same with heavy's minigun and yet then no one gives a shit about guns outside of character because they're just guns.

Scout is anything but a sad class. If anything, the Heavy is the most tragic, considering his back story about his father dying when he was at a young age. and his family getting sent to a Russian prison, albiet escaping the same year. He even worked hard to get a PhD in Russian Literature, despite being brought up in these harsh conditions.
This whole cliché of Scout being sad all the time is ridiculous, especially if it's one of those femscout dies videos. I'd like to see more of the Expiration Date Scout; kinda dumb trouble maker, who can't get a girlfriend
