constant volume and location issues. not specific to tf2 but source. clearly wasn't designed to be used in multiplayer especially with players being unassigned \ spectators warping around rooms constantly. things that have been bugged since hl2 aren't going to be fixed just for stinky old tf2.
Are you treating it like a rocket launcher, in that you go forward/right as you're jumping?
Actually you can technically Air Strafe but just barely. In my use of it you can "Adjust" your direction to curve around obstacles and land slightly to the left or right of where a straight trajectory would've been. Only thing is if you change the general direction of the vector you are travelling along you lose a lot, if not all, your momentum and waste a jet pack charge. But that just from what I've done, It could be totally wrong and just my imagination.
you can get 256 jumps using any method
Maybe all the new engineer players learned the "build sentry right next to their sentry" strat from bots https://i.imgur.com/YCQAE6i.png
At least bots build teleports.
Cool I'll remember that the next time I'm playing a super high sky box map if I want to try to ignore how clunky it is to try making a weapon function. There is that awkward mini hop the jetpack makes you do which is also enough time for a scout to 2 shot you. Unfortuantely it doesnt make you immune to aim. Ok so you did that. Cool. Now its on its cooldown and you can't get it back on this map with the really high skybox, sure hope you don't need to engage anything before its up again. This is already a niche situation on a a very select few maps, adding the oh so fun cooldown system rather than hp managment doesn't make this more versatile, it makes it limited.
did the TT kill your family or what man. be glad we have viable options instead of everyone fucking resorting to puff n sting.

We know Jill is against random crits, guess it's just that more people on the team like them than don't like them.
I still cannot comprehend being employed by valve, being mutli-talented to a fault, having knowledge and experience playing and developing games, and getting paid a decent salary but still being dumb enough to think random crits is a good idea.
I think they did vote to remove random crits, but they're just holding said change back along with a bunch of other changes to casual for when they finally overhaul competitive in it's own update
I hope they don't pull a Hatless Update by changing all weapons with the "No random critical hits" atrribute into a non-sensical attribute like less swing speed or damage like they did before were they to take random crits off permanently (which I highly doubt). Most weapons are fine as is without random crits and don't need to be tacked on an extra negative attribute to make them "balanced".
What are some good Detonator and Revolver skins?
err this is a tricky terriority cause you're challenging the mentality of a literal different era... we're talking like 15 years ago.
This little nugget of information from an ex-Epic games employee is the only reason I can think of for them leaving in random crits: https://twitter.com/MrLeePerry/status/903979396230397953
Random damage spread, map features, and even class abilities from launch have all been removed or changed without a second thought once it was realized they were a bad idea. Although seeing as the vocal part of the TF2 playerbase is also the uninvested, inexperienced part that comprises reddit and the steam discussions, I can understand why it's taken so long. It's basically only a "debate" in the minds of those who don't understand/care about game design (and ASIC).
Also from looking in the files, the TFC main menu picture and turret models are in TF2's files to this day.
That logic falls apart in the context of TF2, where 90 percent of the people getting kills with random crits are experienced players rather than first time players.
God forbid there is a RNG element in a game.
No offense to anyone who is brony/furry here, but why is this fanbase so obnoxious in casual? I start killing them and they start crying all the time, hacker, noob, russian, etc etc. Every time It's a furry/brony who is a spy main, since they always have expensive spy items displayed on their profile. This is the 4th guy past week.
It has nothing to do with what fandoms they're in and more about them being obnoxious in general regardless. Shitty people are shitty people. They could be Starcraft players, for example, and they'd still be annoying. Usually when people are obnoxious or annoying, people align their avatars and visual likes with those bad traits. It's why having a MLP-esque name and avatar has a bad stigma, since people align them to script kiddies who use those names alongside avatars and themed profiles to stir people up. Same could be said about furries, but to be honest, all hate on both of those fandoms has toned down considerably since then. Having this in mind, I'm sure you've played alongside very chill furries and bronies and you were none the wiser because they weren't annoying, or just kept quiet and played the game. Sure, some are annoying, but so can other people who isn't into some specific fandom. Keep this in mind when you find an obnoxious Steven Universe fan in-game when you could've played with 5 chill ones but you weren't aware at all.
The problem being that I've played with way too many obnoxious furries over the years. You can't deny the fact that they are a notorious fanbase on this game, for toxicity especially.
I'd also say to keep in mind that a significant portion of TF2's community is obnoxious in general. It's not at all unusual to see people who are on the lookout for anyone they can get a rise out of. Furries are kind of despised, so that makes them an obvious target to these people, and if you're being targeted all the time you might decide to start preemptively putting out an "I'm obnoxious, and I don't care!" vibe as a defense. That's my theory anyway.
Since I make alot of people upset on Casual daily by just simply playing the game, my so far most favourite techinque to piss off obnoxious people is to just simply ignore them and don't respond to them at all. I unbound my chat even, If you ignore them, they get even more upset. Also, this time wasn't even using Vaccinator. Every casual game people are calling me a hacker for playing medic, what gives? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/242166/b594fd1e-5460-4ca6-8865-54067f4ea7de/faux.PNG
I can concede that there's a lot of furries in TF2, and I've found a few cringy ones myself, but I've never met any toxic ones, and they're definitely not known for being toxic - maybe for their sprays, but nothing else. I could say the same about bronies as well. But otherwise, toxicity can be in any game, coming from some guy that likes, I don't know, anything infamous enough. It doesn't mean that people who like what that person likes is a problem, it's just that person being a dick. Mute them and carry on if it gets annoying I'd say and let that be the end of it.
I'd show you a chat where yesterday's furry said he'll send his entire furry group to report my account for "hacking" on TF2, but I don't want to call out names.
I kinda wish running disguised remotely around enemy spawn was possible
That just looks like you've found awful people in Casual, and it just so happened that they were furries. You should actually report their Steam profiles specifying that they've harrassed you and your friends alongside some pictures and move on. Hopefully they'll get community banned for a while.
Take: People who paint their hats the same color as the unusual are incredibly boring people who's favourite ice cream is probably vanilla.
