Someone made a gigantic list of every visual issue in TF2.
It's pretty funny these aren't all, but there's more.
Shame that weapon models will never get updated again because it would apparently break war paints.
glad im not the only one who cares about those visual goofs. Here's hope that one day the TF team will do a community 'fix-it QoL update' thing. haha i still have hopes cause it could always happen one day.
The fact that classes 3rd person textures do not match their 1st person hands irks me beyond reason.
Have they ever changed the first person arm models in any way since the game came out?
I don't think so Blu medic still has teal 3rdP arms but light blu 1stP arms. Heavy still has grey gloves but dark brown gloves on the player model Soldier's arms are just FUBAR Scout has beige handwraps but white in 3rd Spies 1st person is FUBAR Sniper has 2 gloves and no watch in 1st but 1 glove and a watch in 3rd Blu engy has the wrong glove color in 1st person Pyro and demo are oddly consistent
Valve's games are full of sloppy stuff, from their first games to present. Also if they updated the arm models would they have to redo all the animations? Might be why they haven't.
Models? Yes. But most of the issues I listed could be fixed with just textures, no new model required, no way to screw up anims.
I would say TF2 has the most visual issues of any Valve game.
there is so much visual shit that is piss easy to fix but they never do it. so piss fucking easy. lliterally would take a few hours to fix all of them.

All the money they would have lost from people making mods for items you need to buy (probably why they did it) would have been made up for players, new or not quitting in frustration due to random crits.

Yeah I didn't the last part of the sentence for some reason lol. I mean if they disabled random crits, they amount of money they would make from players that would have otherwise quit out of frustration due to crits, would have made up for the money they would have lost if they kept sv_pure 0, from people making mods for painted weapons or cosmetics.
i have already a few times. no dice. And for the biggest visual goof you guys wont be able to unsee, demoman eye patch is on wrong side in HUD.

one of the saddest regression is crit sentry rockets losing their glow
Sentry rockets would crit glow? Would it happen if the Engie was crit boosted? Sentries can't crit so it seems like glowing rockets that do normal damage would be inconsistent.

TIL you have to press mouse 2 to destroy projectiles with Short circuit. Idiot me, been trying to destroy projectiles with M1 for entire 20 minutes, blaming that the weapon doesn't work.

They changed the weapon the first time because it sucked and nobody used it. The next few changes were to undo the damage they did with one of the most poorly thought out buffs in the history of TF2. That being said, none of the changes were without reason - it's just Valve botched the execution as per usual, likely owning to their total lack of playtesting.
or rather everyone sucked or just uses the vastly superior wrangler. v1 only needed a metal reduction. now we're gone full circle back to how it was except slightly different so it was of no use in the end.
I'm in total agreement here... People stuck to the Wrangler because it was significantly easier to use then the short circut and far more powerful over all. A Metal reduction per use was all it ever needed at best...
SC is good when you have good defence and you're all set up with a dispenser full of ammo. Don't devalue SC just because of how situational it is, It's actually good.
