I can't actually remember if that was true with dota 2.
Don't people remember this? https://imgur.com/gallery/CRs4A The reason that they were not added alongside the male versions, based on what Robin Walker said, was because of memory limitations (the games were also to be shipped on consoles), and, if I recall correctly, there would be issues pertaining to hitbox consistency and cosmetic development but I can't find a quote on this (although it seems plausible). Unfortunately, we don't have a good reason for [why the female versions weren't added]. When we started we wanted to ship male and female versions of each class, since that's obviously the best solution. As production went on, it became clear that we couldn't afford the memory that would be needed to do that, and still maintain the quality we wanted. Looking back, we should have shipped some of the classes as female and some as male. I think the only reason that didn't happen was due to the team hoping that we would still figure out how to do it the "right" way. So yeah, the development team probably don't care much on seeing women being gibbed or acting insane (we already have Pauling and The Administrator bringing a different flavour of it), and to be fair, TFC Pyro in Old Wounds not only was torturing Soldier at the time, but had a smoke grenade put into her asbestos suit while forcibly wearing the top part, dying as a result, and Zhanna lost her left hand.Sadly we missed on some pretty good designs - I remember people liking granny Demowoman a lot in here, and a lot of the designs are really good nonetheless. But yeah, I can see why model swaps for the classes would be annoying to develop with.
I love that female Soldier design.
I've posted this before. Heavy Weapons Gal fan art from 100 years ago: Female versions of the mercs could be made in a way that fits with the game's art style, at least the launch version of it. They weren't made for a lot of reasons and no, not because the nasty SJWs would get upset about violence against women. So did y'all enjoy Stock Fortress 2 featuring Community Servers Only last night? As a server admin, I sure did. I saw two of our five servers spring to life like they haven't in ages. It was an odd flashback to an earlier, arguably better time. I also saw a number of hackers including the infamous Night Mare Combat: Steam Community show up. Previously he got VAC banned with a Scorching Noble: Steam Community. My SMAC logs were going off like a fire alarm. I also briefly went on a trade server and listened to the for-profit traders bitch about how the item server downtime was going to drive down the price of keys. It was hilarious.
A fair game is one where each side has an equal chance of winning*. There are other definitions, but this is a less complex one. It's not about whether each side wins the same amount as the other, but whether the chance of each side winning was equal. I use fair mechanic in a similar sense to that. *CRC Concise Encyclopedia of Mathematics, Second Edition
stop replying to ASIC Sometimes i think it would be really cool if we had jill appearing on the discord once and a while and have a chat with us.
@ASIC okay. I have a boeing 717 to turn around today and a mountain of paperwork so I'll just cut to the chase here- this has become pointless. I had my suspicions, but yeah this last reply confirms it. People have the ability to pathologically convince themselves that they are correct, or at least not wrong, and therefore fail to see in any way that their detractors may have a point, or that they've pulled out every fallacy in the book to prop up their nonsense. I'm going to go with ultravod's idea a few pages ago and stop responding to "Maybe I'll provide evidence" ASIC. No, I'm not going to bother explaining psychology and reasoning to you because quite frankly, you're just going to deny everything and question fairly observable statements as lacking proof, and that just wastes everyone's time on a non-tf2 subject. I give up. You need help. Please go get it.
you should totally add them. here's a critical chance they're not bots!
https://i.imgur.com/dZmfcQl.png This is a Tide Pod emoji. It'd be useful for rating ASIC's posts.
The Pirate translation for the Pocket Purrer cosmetic says that it's Kleiner's cat from HL2.
Can we stop posting about ASIC? I don't agree with him and I think random crits should be removed but honestly the posts about ASIC are getting just as annoying as his posts about keeping random crits.
Were all the romevision items made by SVDL or do I remember wrong? it'd be cool if somebody could find the emporium thread with them or something
Most of Team Fortress 2's humor, story and art style is a piss take on hyper masculinity, so I'm not sure how fitting female versions of classes would be in official terms.
Well duh, just look how the femme pyro modders got around it. Just add cleavage!
There was a time, not too long ago mind you, where pony mods were rampant.
Honestly if the team ever did official female models the pyro should just have the same current model for both male and female to keep the pyro's identity a mystery.
This is why the cutesy/pyroland stuff outside of pyroland never made sense to me. TF2 right now: "Oh yeah I've got my elite grade baloonicorn outfit with matching cat hoodie and-" SAXTONNNN HAAAAAAAAALLLEEEEE!!!! ARE YOU MANN ENOUGH TO OWN LAND IN GULLYWASH? *64 PAGES OF GORILLA STABBING!*
no he need boobie
UPDATE INCOMING, INCONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT UPDATE NOTES. MAJOR UPDATE?
We're working on a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. The notes for the update are conspicuous in their absence. We should have the update ready soon. - John

I honestly forgot what TF2 hype was, but it's back at full force.
I'm betting it's relatively nothing.
Sounds like they're just saying it's obviously connected to the item server downtime. "conspicuous in their absence" implying "you all can probably guess what this is".
Okay, my words were a bit... over-the-top. But do you guys think this could be the "minor balancing update" b4nny was talking about? God I hope so.
I'll put my lack of money on a lack of anything interesting
John is Jill. The previous update notifier was also named John, but he works on CSGO now.
we need the optimistic rating back for posts like these
