it's so fun going up behind a teammate as t-pose scout, counting down from 10 as they look considerably worried and then shouting lift off on the mic and flying straight up
I feel like the weapon's current stats were poorly thought out. At the moment it's intruding on the Winger's niche of being a higher DPS finisher with a smaller clip, except instead of more vertical mobility you get slight heals and a less severe downside.
If that wasn't Valve's intention with the design, then I'd say they should either get rid of the firing speed bonus and increase the health gain per hit to compensate, or change the downside to a damage penalty big enough to result in overall lower DPS compared to stock.
The problem with Pocket Pistol is it's double-dipping its niche. It's not only a higher damage lower over-all DPS pistol (Winger), it's also a method for Scout to restore health (Mad Milk, Candy Cane) by giving up pure DPS. It needs a new niche entirely. What kind of secondary could Scout use in terms of a pistol? Something a bit more accurate with less DPS? Something involving his mobility?
Not anymore, it was nerfed only a few hours after the release of the update.
Use a soundboard of an actual countdown and rocket launch, i'd lose my shit if that happened to me in-game
I don't necessarily think the fact that it's a hybrid of two other options has to be a problem, as long as it does both of those things worse overall than the specialized alternatives. At the moment, that isn't the case. It's a better finisher than the Winger, a weapon that was literally designed to be a finisher.
Dude, chill, I doubt the creator cares and would probably find it endearing if anything.
Think about it this way: If it was nerfed to either do less damage or not heal, would there be a realistic situation where an on-hit healing pistol is only situationally better than the stock or high damage/low dps of Winger, or the healing/utility of Mad Milk?
It's a problem solely because of how many weapons now exist in the game.
Scout acquiring health outside of health kits and a Medic is poor design in general.
I want release pocket pistol back. It was so fun to use with the old baby face's blaster...
I don't think anyone has posted this here yet:

Let me explain some basic psychology and reasoning to you (and some other people here as well I guess).
What people believe is based on emotion.
Just telling someone that they are wrong, doesn't work unless they adore you or like you a lot. Behaving aggressive or accusatory towards a person will not convince them of your stance.
Now lets look at some reasoning:
I am accused of various things. However, I don't think the accusations are true.
So to hear them out, I asked them for evidence. I didn't fail to see that my detractors might have a point; I didn't accuse them of lying.
However, they refused to provide evidence.
Is it rational to believe that you did something, when you do not think you did it and the people accusing you of doing it strongly REFUSE to give any evidence (even when asked)?
As far as future update speculation looks like given the new strings added it seems like the TF Team is tinkering with a new gamemode, too.
Instead of complaining about the Starboard Crusader, I suggest we go find someone with the original version or contact FiveEyes so it can get released for custom folder usage.
He's already talked with the TF Team about it via E-Mail. Let's see what happens sooner or later. Hopefully they'll understand and add back the pins.
Any word on arena mode, or have I missed something?
Added a unique particle effect whenever a player performs a "Stomp" attack on another player with the Mantreads or The Thermal Thruster
Here's what it looks like if anyone was interested:

looks like random crits might be gone in next update, interesting
Considering they've ignored Arena mode for seven years, ever since official Valve servers were launched, (both during Quickplay and Casual), I think it's pretty safe to say they're not bringing it back into the official roster.
Especially not after still ignoring Arena in a spring-cleaning update that brought missing obscure maps like 5Gorge, 2Fort Invasion, the missing CTF maps and the Mannpower version of Foundry to Casual.
They also didn't pick up on the Arena Respawn hype back it was being developed as a community mod to try and breath life into the gamemode. At no point since the Uber update have the TF2 Team tried to do anything to rework the mode.
I was probably sleep deprived while making parts of that mission.
I love it. There should be unusual effects that have these colors.
Anyway, am i the only still experiencing long queue times for competitive mode? The fact that players can continue playing a 6s match even if somebody left AND still queue for the next match is amazing, though
What did they change with natasha?
Why would you want it removed?
There is also stuff like the Corona Australis for sniper:

They apparently fixed a bug with the slowdown effect, so now it properly bolts people down on the spot. It's basically impossible to escape now.
Yeah...But the difference between the two is 1.33 ref and 14 keys.

What an absolutely amazing update. So happy about this, and also happy that they understood that Twitter can also be used for normal text and not just facebook links.
Really hoping they keep this up, or refine matchmaking till perfection. Just no 6 month silences again, please...
now that most of tf2's most pressing issues are taken care of (pyro taking no skill to aim and competitive being absolute shit being the two biggest) I hope they take the next update or two to just generally improve the game like the performance and raising the quality of some models and textures that aren't exactly up to date, along with bugfixes and balance patches
the console works so well that instead of the main menu elements hiding the console, the console now hides the main menu elements
it's kinda funny
Well don't i look like an idiot now for saying it would be too early for anything.
Lots of cool stuff here but that sydney sleeper nerf has me raising an eyebrow.
