It is a problem. One that I do not mind a lot because it doesn't ruin games or is an issue that affects every game, like the flame flail. Hardcore market gardeners might even argue it's in innate part of market gardening. The Air Strike issue has higher game ruining potential and should be fixed. As they have the same core cause of the bug fixing one would fix the other, but I wouldn't be upset at the market garden issue being fixed.
There's some perks to both... Original I find it a tiny bit better for shooting around corner... But from what I've heard rocket jumping is notibly easier to do with the normal rocket launcher. I still prefer the original by far... But mostly for Nostalgia reasoning since I was an actual Quake player and the Original was the Soldier's "Original" rocket launcher......... As well as Pyro's, but that's a different story lol...
There actually is some light scrambling on map changes now I'm noticing.
Anyone knows what happens if you have a duel activated with the new scramble? Last time I asked something similar, and someone replied with "even the TF2 Team forgot they have that thing in the game"
I found a bug, when inspecting the stock grenade launcher, the sound of the barrels spinning cuts off if you move.

For clarity's sake, CTF_Well has existed for years. It just hasn't been available in the matchmaking queue.
I looked at the different DirectX versions on the Valve dev wiki and saw something interesting, the main feature of DirectX 9.8 is that particle effects are handled by the gpu. Two of the big perf sore spots in TF2 are the large amount of particle effects from unusuals and other things, and the low gpu utilization. Theoretically DX 9.8 could help both of these problems, if they optimized for that DX version.
you know what else would optimize the game? an enforced tutorial for new, fresh players.

As someone who has over 1k hours on jump maps, I really don't see any difference between Original and RL. Original makes sync jumps way easier.

That energy ball from HL2 did make into TF2 ...as the unusual Energy Orb effect for weapons. You know, the effect that was only ever unboxable from the first two (Gun Mettle) cases and is now not unboxable at all, even from them? Yeah, that one. I had a lot of fun 10 years ago discovering what each class did and figuring out the mechanics, but I have some friends who are exceptionally good at other FPS games including high level Overwatch who struggle to understand TF2 because they weren't here for a decade of gradually piling up mechanics.
They should just change the GL's inspect animation. Demo looks at the weapon, spins it once, opens the chamber, pulls a bottle of scrumpy out, takes a swig, puts it into a different chamber, and closes the whole thing.
In all honesty you can really see how different experienced people worked on the weapon inspects; While things like Jarate, the Grenade Launcher are animated smoothly and nice looking, things like the Sapper, or especially the Heavy melee inspects are just so bloody unnatural, stiff and ugly.
After playing around with Short Circuit all day... Needs a strange version. Now. Never had so many kills with an useless weapon like Short Circuit before, like holy fucking shit it's good now.
I wonder if the TF team works in the same room with eachother.
