I play ALOT of pyro and I'm competely fine with how pyro is rn.
A class that requires skill not one mouse button.
Actually, when I played with few friends, we stumbled upon a cat bot on hightower, just one cat-bot, so i wouldn't be sure if there aren't any cat-bots
Anybody else only able to play one competitive match and that's it? I've been duoing with my friend and we can search for a competitive match, find one under five minutes and after that's done... We can't find anything else. We basically return to pre-fix matchmaking so we get those loooong search times (which feel like I can't even find a match). Is it just a fault in searching with a party or just one of our internets being silly?
When i solo queue my average queue time is around 11 minutes, the longest i've waited was 20 minutes - in 3-man queue it takes about the same, 10-20 minutes
For reference, our ranks are 9, 10 and 13
I ain't even got a rank yet and neither does my friend. We still need 9 wins for a rank. Is it possible that the reason it takes so long is because we don't have ranks yet?
Doubt it. What region are you in and what times are you playing?
Europe West. Portugal and Italy. We just play from 12 AM to like... 10 PM. One match in the morning yesterday and after that one, no more could be found. Heck do I know, it just feels weird to me.
One of the best parts about playing Pyro post Jungle Inferno is how if there is any snipers in the opposite team, they usualy change their secodnary to Darwin's Danger Sheld almost immediately

i can rack up 80 kd with utterly terrible loadouts but that doesn't mean those items are any good, balanced or acceptable for the game. it's also important to consider the populace you're fighting against.
don't we have some people constantly bringing up comp in this very thread? JI pyro was still a "big whoop" for leagues so pyro is certainly not going to be fine post-march 28th
I know that, that doesn't change anything though. If I can do well against competent gamers with the "shit tier pyro primaries" then they aren't shit tier.
Pyro ain't flawless but thinking he's in a worse state than before is just stupid.

Pyro is now terrible but still not as bad as pre-JI
not that any of it matters in comp since pyro continued to be bad there after JI
DF nerf was uncalled for and made it needlessly bad against competent players who never had trouble with it to begin with
and the people who actually had issues with it are still being doubletapped as scouts so that still sucks for them
People hate dying in general. As when dead they cannot really do anything about it. So instead they complain instead... This is the same with body shotting snipers or "rage class" here comments usually...
Don't want to die to a class, suck it up and get better at the game perhaps? Help your team work together better or function in general. Don't bicker because you got outplayed by enemy. That just showcases how pitiful you are...
So the flamethrower is so ping sensitive because projectiles aren't lag compensated, and apparently making projectiles lag compensated would be very performance intensive. Could just fire be lag comp'd?
All this talk about Pyro nerfs/buffs and I still waiting for Kritzkrieg to get a different backpack.
And for the cord connecting the pack to the medigun to not disappear when not using the medigun.
Okay I'm pretty fucking positive the Matchmaker can't handle parties of 3. Just queued for 2 hours or so, nothing. Meanwhile solo gets you a game in 3-10 minutes while duo nets you a game in like 10-20.
Can anyone confirm this?

Only after they fix DF to not require hitscan accuracy.
The flamethrowers need their bugs fixed, have the rampup not instantly go down if you don't aim flames perfectly, and remove the DF "only the center does bonus damage" mechanic.
Along with making flames more transparent and orange, this'll make Pyro as good as they can be without being extremely annoying.

I wonder if they test TF2 on PCs that aren't the usual beasts that Valve devs surely get. They might not have even noticed the DF projectile's stutter issue.
Played like 3-5 matches with a party of 3 yesterday. With queue times less than 5 minutes.
The problem could be in high/low ranks of some party members. Looks like matchmaking tries to match you with exactly the same skill level party.
Potential Bison buff, make it reload when not active.
does not that gun rely on flame mechanics? might want to make sure flamers are fine first.
I think in JI the Bison/Pomson got their own projectiles, not just a modified flame box. Pretty much works the same as the old hitboxes bit the Bison can hit targets multiple times again.
You can't blatantly ignore problems if you want to improve the game as a whole...
