if you dont allow these weekly contracts in community server games you might aswell just fucking delete the community server option and rob them of what little is left
Problem with casual servers is the same issue with achievement servers... It defeats the purpose of the contract system if you can just cheese it on farm servers... Part of it is to help newer players get better in actual matches.
Then we need to think of a different system or a solution. We need more support for vanilla community servers not less, robbing them of the friggin drop system now is nuts
That'd be far too cheap and they don't seem too keen on adding new crafting recipes. It'd probably be a trade-up item to obtain by trading up a couple Civilian Stat Clocks. I still think if any metal sink is to be added, it should be new chemistry set or Bread Box-like items. Chemistry sets were amazing ideas; randomized item inputs to drive desirability for even undesired items because they offer the cheapest recipe. The Strangifier chemistry sets were flawed in the way that many of them called for Strange Festive variants of weapons on occasion, so many of those still float around never to be completed.
i think beta introduction on community servers would be a nice start. introducing interesting concepts you can only try on community servers would be interesting. And im talking about full support to do these things, like giving the community tools to do these things, instead of having to go 3rd part and custom mod custom weapons that give newer players bad vibes like we have now. I think its good that we have people able to host custom maps without going thru a bajillion steps. Kinda similar to how Overwatch uses custom servers.

Would it be so hard to implement a system to check if community servers are running "approved" maps and server settings? Make a gold star system for servers that follow Valve's rules. Obviously that would separate the community even more, but it'd still be an improvement over what we have now,
How do you filter out decorated weapons on market?
I noticed a bug with the Razorback. If you're healing someone with it equipped it'll always build your uber at a faster rate due to it not getting overheal, thinking that it'll always build your uber faster.
How does that even work,that should not be even possible as the razorback doesnt affect any health values.
I guess since his health value doesn't change when healing him it will keep on building uber.
Right,because it doesnt build overheal from the -100% max overheal stat then it is stuck on base health leaving him to charge uber at full rate. Should be a simple fix for the team really.Just make it not gain more uber rate when the sniper's health is full or at 125,unless the sniper can find a way to go beyond 125 max health with the razorback.

Are crits on intel capture disabled in comp?
It works exactly how you'd expect. Quick-Fix worked the same way back when it was unable to give overheal.

If the maps arent gamebreaking then i imagine they'd be approved. There are a lot of good pub maps like cashworks that used to see play in communities, that would be great to bring back via sanctioned quickplay communities.
Or instead, Valve could think of a different way to support community servers. They could probably do community servers if they run servers that are 100% identical to Valve's servers I guess...

I just had a thought, wouldn't it be better if invis watches, except for dead ringer obviously, were worn on spy's right hand? So you could see your reskins at all times, and you don't fire your weapon when cloaked anyways

Has this been tested outside of tr_walkway? The bots on that map don't actually walk forward, they're being pushed along by a map entity, so there could be some weird interaction going on there.
well on second thought i realized that basically nobody wears a watch on their dominant hand
Come to think of it I did exactly this several years ago. It's not a difficult mod, just change one line in a vmt. Doesn't work with pure of course.
