Wouldn't they just need to whitelist decloak sounds, the scoped-in hud, gameplay affecting models and textures like stickybombs, and disable material attributes that could cause wallhacks? Just let me use custom weapon models and higher quality textures, it's been so long.
I'm pretty conflicted on the sv_pure 1 vs sv_pure 0 thing because it totally sucks people can't use custom mods and skins (or adjust viewmodels) but at the same time just enabling sv_pure 0 would open up wallhack texture use. I don't know if it's possible to blacklist certain custom texture attributes in Source, it probably should be a feature though.
Didn't the people using the wall hacks find out a workaround immediately that let them still use the hacks on sv pure?
Didn't the people using the wall hacks find out a workaround immediately that let them still use the hacks on sv pure?
But hacks should obviously be handled by the very reliable vac system. So basicaly all the good folk who used custom stuff for fun got the shaft while all the hackers still found a way to do their thing.

It's also how that incredibly dubious TexMod program works, and why TexMod sets off some anticheat programs (IIRC it makes VAC flip its fucking lid if you try injecting into Source. But that's only because TexMod's hooks are known and instantly detected, whereas POOPTUBE CRATEHAX 9999's aren't.)

I made a list of some weird design choices and easter eggs on Mercenary Park. https://imgur.com/a/HmOP8
There is not a weapon in TF2 more satisfying to kill something with than the shotgun.

I have a strange problem with Heavy where my fps gets unstable when shooting enemies, makes it hard to accurately track.
Getting a kill with any melee weapon feels extremely satisfying for me. Especially getting multiple ones within a short space of time.
Honestly, Dragon's Fury is really fucking satisfying to kill with. I haven't used the normal Flamethrowers much at all since I came back to TF2.
Airshots with rocket launchers Direct pipes headshots with a sniper rifle axtinguisher scattergun meatshots melee kills with Engineer syringe guns
So many weapons are really satisfying to kill with, and that's one of the things that makes TF2 such a great game.
have you folks forgotten the magic of the DOUBLE DONK

always been a fan of smacking a ragdoll flying with a low health equalizer smack, crit or not
always been a fan of smacking a ragdoll flying with a low health equalizer smack, crit or not
what's interesting is that all soldier melee bases are specifically coded to produce zero physics force, with the very unique exception of the equalizer for some reason
physics force only apply to ragdolls and physic props, it's not the same as damage knockback
I know, just was a bit lazy and didn't type "applied force against ragdolls"
To me the loose cannon feels amazing when you double donk Any other time feels like shit though
I feel like it doesn't have enough impact to make the kills or donks viscerally satisfying. The explosions aren't as impactful as the stock grenade launchers. It feels like they got slapped with wish the fish but mini-critting when you get double donks.
Doubledonk a guy, he kills you anyways. LC in a nutshell.
"wtf why didn't i insta kill dude riot pls fix"
[t]https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/teamfortress/images/d/d5/Direct_Hit_item_icon_TF2.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/310?cb=20130712212737[/t] You are all wrong. This thing is the most satisfying to kill with
My only hatred for Loose Cannon is how it treats being hit from a slightly downward angle. Instead of knocking you back it just anchors you to the ground on the spot so the guy can just repeatedly spam an unmoving player. Not to mention it just leaves you stood there for 2 seconds, letting any slightly competent player on the enemy team absolutely destroy you. It's just a pisstake.
